Brrrrr (shivering) the very thought of icecream and it’s “I scream”! 😛
You mean this site? Definitely worth a look, scrolling or paging down to the bottom, and it bounces up some and hides the text. We also have our own Science and Nature. 🙂
Had a thought that we should rename this topic to Random Wreckoning Balls- does it quite suit though?
On the radio today was Platform capitalism and the curse of “enshittification”, sort of thing I like to listen while roaming, as it were. Has a site, Craphound with a link to the mailing feed with heaps of fun stuff such as Capitalists Hate Capitalism. 😛

A game that brings one back to the start like that wins a special place in this gamer soul. 🙂
Here are some top tips from GGSP a player half way through the game is guaranteed not to watch. 😛

An operating system can provide “support” for any hardware, whether it works under the OEM driver is up in the air. As of last year, AMD don’t have any support at all for FreeBSD, looks a bit better for OpenBSD.
Yes, there’s quite a bit to choose from in code editors, one that also has language support, debugging, and auto-suggest.
Okay then, VR it is, and Windows 11 on the fun drive, thus a not so fun milestone is a VS installation? There hasn’t much doing with VS2019 over here for more than a year, so definitely not a front burner. 😛
Yeah, tell-tale signs are long read/writes, sluggish system, and BSODS. The mfg usually offer tools that gauge SSD fit for purpose, you could schedule those to run every quarter, for example. The good news (according to a quick Google) is, the bigger the SSDs, the longer they last, and the less they are used (fewer write cycles), the longer they last. Make from that what you will. 🙂

Is it a branded mouse – it’s much easier to recall and id the relics if there was a snazzy model name or brand associated with it. 😛
The pebble has regressed a little, the button is a little unresponsive and the movement is less than optimal, could be the cold temperature too. Will persist. 🙂
Made a Puppy Linux USB disk and updated the thread, don’t really know if this is the best for Boot/UEFI diagnosis though.

Happened again today when posting on a tab left open for a day or two. Really have to close them after use! 🙁

What’s the card game again? (With these fumbling hands the best is 52 card Pickup!)
Funny how the Steam servers choke up when there’s a sale on.
Cold and dry over here, how is it over your way?

Happened again today after successfully submitting a post to another thread, so no logout issues. This time, hitting the back button revealed no post content. Must have been too quick for AutoSave, (or something) – changed the interval to 45 seconds.
Edit: Most likely related to an oops in the Cache Enabler Settings. Cached pages now expire 10 hours after being created, before they never expired, so could have been sending expired nonce data to the WordPress engine. The site cache was also cleared when a new post was submitted, now turned off. Cache is now turned on for mobile devices. 🙂

Yes, best left well enough alone for now.
Both showed on Chrome on the tablet, when logged out and then logged in, and now, no edit/reply options presenting, so looks consistent with the desktop.
Could be with all this weird stuff going on there’s some kind of memory fault with WordPress – not an easy one for the devs to track down. 🙁

On the forums page, just the one search is visible on the desktop – the edit box and a search button above right of the forum header bar. It’s the only one I use and the only one available. Is that the primary or secondary?
The one on the right of the top ribbon isn’t visible to the public, unfortunately, haven’t used it much. No edit/reply options on the desktop for the search hits either, but sure to be useful down the track. 🙂
                        Thanks. 🙂

Not getting any change in the desktop over here (yet) after clearing cache, (sample).
Robin’s fix was a while back:

                          4.7.5
2.) Added ability to add topics/replies to main site search

Couldn’t see an option for it in Search Styling, was it somewhere else?

Truth or Consequences is about the strangest one encountered on the list:
“Excuse me, may I buy a ticket to Truth or Consequences?” “Certainly sir, which one would it be?” “Either one.”
For the UK game on FTA over here, Tipping Point, “I can certainly provide directions to the Tipping Point, but first you’ll have to contact Junkyard Reception!”
Glad you did, Pratchett was a true humourist, pity he got the early onset Alzheimers with complications else there would have been a lot more to the Discworld saga for sure!
Going through some of Mum’s books there was a Dictionary of Shorthand, think it was a Pitmans, she was once very good at it, all forgotten now. 🙁

How strange. On the Android each post in the search results had the edit options – no edit options here on the desktop (Edge). Will try and reproduce.

Yes! Will take a look at that.
Another minor issue is in the search results, when clicking edit in the usual set of post options, you are taken to the post position in the topic rather than the edit dialog.

In West Virginia, there is a town called Shock. The road between Surprise and Shock is sure to be a bumpy one. 😛
There’s also the game, have you played it? Now for sale at MobyGames, the DOS game may require a CD emulator to work (eg), and free at the Wayback Machine.

Anything with Leslie Nielson usually turns out well, especially before he started doing comedy. 😛 And JL Curtis’s dancing an eyecatcher!
Yeah, The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane is described as cross genre, noting it won a Saturn award for Horror, the mystery element also makes it definitely on the watchlist here.
Those others look good as well, do remember Fletch. They want to start putting some of these on the FTA channels, too, a minor setback is that their programming staff have been programmed to make us all miserable. 😛
Currently streaming Devils (Diavoli), it’s about fictitious events in 2011, which initially made me think the series was made around then. These eyes are not well enough trained to spot any anomalies (e.g. Dempsey ~2021 versus Dempsey ~2011) until reading the Wikipedia article at time of writing. 😛

How long have you had the mouse,- over here one which reaches EOL at five years is relic enough!
Light ethyl alcohol wipes would be ok, if it’s hot I use an absorbent cloth under the wrist, and metal mousemats are easy to clean. 🙂
Still backing up stuff here, once a USB stick is vacant, Linux is going on it. 🙂

Who was LN2? Is he/she still around? Talking of which, the Chiki ngebul or dragon’s breath candy is all the rage!

Pity it’s not safe, but what do you expect from a name like dragon’s breath?
Bit of a cold snap over here, so the fire is definitely alive and – firing!
As with the above, most of my nursery requirements have been local, else it’s a quick visit over to Daley’s, great service, and as tends to be the case these days, most of the really good gets are on backorder. 🙁
