The series currently screamed is Bang!, comes with a slow burning drag on for a bit too long kind of vibe, watchable though. There is a bug in the streaming channel where the option for (English) subscripts doesn’t work if there is multilingual content, fortunately there is not a lot of (English) mumbling so we are good.
The critics were rather harsh with Year One, perhaps rightly so. Things move at pace, the dialogue isn’t all that bad, the film length is mercifully short, and you might get a sense they had fun doing it.
One of the related links on the Wikipedia SCP page was CreepyPasta, with a lead onto Channel Zero. Hope that makes it over here!
And, in chatting with Mum tonight, she recalled Donovan’s Brain with Orson Welles, one that never got around to the FTA channels here either, consequently all memories of it vanished over the horizon. Right now, high priority in the viewing list. 🙂

Note BBPress clams it recognizes Wikimedia webm format, but will not embed the trailer video here apparently.

A name for the mouse? Heck no, these might come in handy for a list later: The mouse fairy, Tydium Night-rat, Mouse-in-pad, De-tail E-lab-o-rat, House of Shining Rodients!
These days they won’t need to, as there is a webpage. Is there life after death, and was there life before 1937?
Talking of the out-there and mysterious, someone posted an SCP game script, contributions required, have you come across any SCP items of interest? No direct SCP references to be found in the xkcd comics – someone suggested this, and, segueing into related, wonder if Strange Planet is any good?
The alarm clock radio turned out to be a dud, the replacement is a lot better, and the good news continues, the Product Review Team finally merged the Facebook account into the gmail one – kudos to them!

😀 So I went to the markets to purchase a second hand pet. A sign in the stall said, “Buy one, get one flea,” another sign said “Flea bargaining permitted”, another said “An itch in time will save you mine”. The betting stall opposite had a sign “No scratchings” which did not ease the oncoming pruritus.

😛 New tech innovations = New square pegs for old round holes!

There was always something about the whole Star Wars brand that came across as rather dinky, if not hokey. Might have been the overplay of the disco version of the theme at the time:

It was all right as far as disco-dent themes go, the novelty wore out pretty quick.
Completed Suspect, B grade budget, backdrops and effects, the story, screenplay and actors were the outright winners. Recommended!
And National Lampoon’s Vacation is pretty ho-hum for the first two thirds or so, the finish at the Walley World theme park is worth the wait. So recommended! 🙂

He looks great, at least, yet the dithering effect on FB as a result of attempting to enlarge the image is not complimentary at all. Zuck, make yer rendering more endearing m’dear (alternate lyrics to Have Some Madeira M’Dear):

NexusMods have a few issues with their new SW package over the holiday season, which I fear has started to grate on Picky. The search we can live with, the uploading of mods is something else!

Agree, Enceladus is quite small (310 miles in diameter, and cold externally), so likely not a habitable home for billions of starving humans. Spectacular views from the surface3 though. 🙂

We have a shop that presents a partial self service affair of storage bins containing grains, nuts, dried fruit and the like. Competitive pricing as well, got 1kg of rooibos tea at a discount recently.

Little experience of HDMI-CEC over here, did it inherit some of the slightly ding dong behaviours of the universal remotes? Like the Prestigo purchased from the now defunct local electronics shop back in 2013 or thereabouts, which turned out to be something of a battery hog. Seemed to wear more when not in use, so the only option was to remove the batteries after each operation.
It was subsequently returned to the vendor. 😛
The Craft was on last night, the fantastical sequences were entertaining enough, the girls were fine, the storyline being of dubious quality made it best for a one-time viewing only.
Finished up with Something Undone which started out a bit flat and developed into rather interesting, yet unsatisfying conclusion. The rattles and bumps in the night were never explained.
Started with Suspect starring James Nesbitt, 100% B-grade according to most, so it’s my cup of tea, and, as with Something Undone, the episodes go only for 28 minutes.

The beef tails have become a kind of speciality in recent times, so not available through the convenience shelves as much as before. Thus, we plebs will have to make do with the tailings instead. 😛
The question of bread parenthood extending to daily motions – (the son sets in the west, but rises in the yeast) – is a complex one and is best leavened to beaver!

Chasing up a distant relative on Facebook regarding the family tree, and pasted the Gramps link in the message body. The link icon in the posted Facebook message resolved as Zoidberg. There’s no doubt he’ll be thinking twice about reaching out to this rather wonky end of the tree. 😀

They closed down online TCG and replaced it with TCG live, which is pretty much the same thing, and doesn’t seem to be all that popular in any event. Is it possible to transfer physical sets to the online games?
Totally baffled, after this search on Steam, nothing looks much like Pokemon at all. Funny, the best card games don’t include the classic deck 1-10 and jack-Ace any more, – not even Bridge!

Still on the slashers? Nothing like that over here – FTA did play a rerun of The Negotiator which rates for me a fair bit more than RT & others. Particularly for the pace and storyline, so recommended.
Also streaming Something Undone, a fictional account of a true crime podcast duo, which sounds more interesting than it actually is.

Once used a trackball back in the nineties, do remember that, like the touchpad it required absolutely not one speck of grease or sweat in the works or it was back to cleaning. Did like it for a while before it started to wear out, as did the touchpad, with the consequence of losing precision in movement. Which was enough to want to move back to standard gear. 🙂
Scans anything? What about huntsman spiders, which are common visitors to homes in this neighbourhood. Beautiful spiders worthy of a replica.

The Mythbusters are fantastic in everything they say and do, which of course becomes tedious if one hearkens to content which isn’t so fantastic. Like me, and maybe others, she is not a fan of tastic in excess. 😛
“They Saved Hitler’s Brain.” Really? Must watch it, along with the one about Santa Claus and the Martians. Do they turn into elves at the end?
Have you seen The Golden Compass? No problems with motifs, acting or cinematography, just a very awkward transposition of the stunning ideas from the book to screen, in contrast cf. the Peter Jackson trilogy. Amidst the background of a predictable outcome, the scene transitions jerk around and through the plot development, and despite the cast, most exchanges of dialogue come off as rather wooden.
It was an exercise in the management of self-torture to view the entire one hour fifty minutes of Nekrotronic on FTA. And, spoiler alert for any seeking palliative relief: this film will not cure headaches! 😛

On the rainy day watchlist, a handy thing to have in case of the regular watchlist going all sparse of a sudden, unlikely right now as the favourite FTA channel is offering plenty of “new” content. Like this one, Don’t Look Now with Donald Sutherland. The stories by Daphne Du Maurier were very trendy back in the day, this one even gets a mention with the “Daphne Du Maurier midget” in Absolutely Fabulous mentioned in this fine article.
Getting 0% on Rotten Tomatoes is reserved only for a select few of movies, including the FTA re-occurrence last night of Death Wish V: The Face of Death. The agonisingly loud and gruesome ends of the villains not being enough to sway the critics, the director who “attempted to insert humor and black comedy elements” gets another gong as there were none to be had.
The Nutcracker in 3D might provide visuals to the CD, with a bonus one in a million chance that at least one of the scenes in the movie will synchronise with the appropriate subject matter on the CD. And the additional bonus prize of identifying at least one redeeming feature of the movie to lift it off 0%. Good luck with that! 😛
