Looks like they’re region locked. Can’t view them over here 🙁

    How ’bout some Jimi Hendrix?

in reply to: Films & TV Shows #1289

So far, I’ve only managed to watch the first one. Haven’t had the chance to watch the other ones yet but I really enjoyed it!

Going to try and watch the Great Pumpkin soon. That’s always fun 🙂

Yeah, I haven’t the foggiest idea

Sorry, had been a bit busy with stuff around the home so I was a bit too pooped to get a whole lot of site work done

Could be a registry mix-up for the expansion not being detected. Have you checked there?

They also have active forums! Nice change from most places switching over to Discord 🙂

    Great!

Cool! That must have taken a lot of preparation!

Yeah, the current rental environment is similar over here. Some of the companies try to handle too much and wind up not being able to handle any of it very well. We have a similar issue with the outfit our HoA uses to help manage things around here. They’ve bitten off so much that it took a year of bi-weekly emails to them to get them to finally submit a work order to fix wood rot around on my building even though the HoA had been pestering them too. It’s a bit of a mess :/

Been thinking of getting a few beehives for over here. Could be a fun hobby!

I do like having discs around. They’re quite handy! I used to take a laptop on school trips (along with a few discs, of course) so that I could watch films with my friends in the hotel rooms. We’d also watch them on the bus. Can’t do that with streaming!

Yep. Started watching Scream the other day after finishing the Friday the 13th series and the Scream films are a blast! They’re mostly slasher films with comedy mixed in. They poke fun at slasher film tropes and even include some pop culture references here and there. For instance, Craven shows up as a janitor dressed as Freddy. 😛

Well, we do have KFC vending machines 😀

And, whoops, I copied the Farm of Tomorrow twice! Meant to have the House of Tomorrow in there!

Might be some fun ideas in there that we could borrow!

Tex Avery cartoons were some of the best. I loved his off the wall humor. He got canned from WB after displaying Bugs falling off a cliff, though. 🙁

    I miss old cartoons!

Watched Nightmare on Elm Street the other day. While good, it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. For some reason, I have a hard time getting into supernatural horror films. I like the corniness of creature-features and slasher films 😛

    😀

Virtual! She doesn’t even drink water anymore, only coffee! 😛

Well, she has a caffeine crash some gametime later. I haven’t installed a tea infuser yet. I do wonder which she’ll prefer. 😛

The game is fun but I do miss the wide-open world of The Sims 3.

Feel free to start up a jokes thread whenever!

Lovely! Would make some great music to pair with a super cut of lights blinking on technology! Cut from a fax machine to a modem to a mainframe…. 😀

Sorry! I thought I had hit the submit button!

Don’t remember too much of Apocalypse Now. My attention kept wandering while it was on…. 😛

I should probably fix that. I remember bits and pieces, though!

Older films had better music than recent ones, in my opinion. Licensing has gotten to be such an issue that many just use as little as possible now. 🙁

Weird! That sounds like a translation file got messed up somewhere

Memory access defines the blood level…? I really don’t understand that logic 😛

So are you running it on Linux, then?

My Sim has developed a coffee addiction. Right before she is supposed to sleep, she made three cups of coffee and drank each one immediately after the other 😛

    in reply to: PrgLnch #1245

Yep, new version and, yep, I had closed it before I clicked to go back. 🙂

in reply to: Hardware Relics #1243

Nope but we do have heavy mineral deposits in the area, which may be part of the issue. I’ve had many a spigot clog up! 😛 A water softener may help at some point

Got it three years ago after the old one kicked the bucket. Not only has it been leaking but the heating coils crapped out.

I may try running some vinegar through the washer in case there’s something lurking in there 🙂

in reply to: Hardware Relics #1239

    Amazingly well preserved!

My washer isn’t holding up nearly as well. No idea what year it’s from but it’s relatively recent. It’s developed a short that causes it to sometimes skip the spin cycle so I need to run the spin cycle manually. 😛

Another annoyance that may be due to the water quality here (not sure) is that it’ll stain the clothes with what looks like rust stains. Minor staining but annoying all the same. Some clothes stain quicker than others, which is weird. My socks, for instance, don’t have any stain marks on them at all while my shirts get the staining. I don’t understand what’s up.

    Sorry for the delay!

So it launches Notepad without issue save for a bunch of resolution warnings (I’m running a 4k monitor at 144 HZ) and, on exit, the Back to PrgLnch button yelled at me about a missing window and took a few seconds to allow me to click it.

I downloaded the zip from GitHub but there may be a better way to handle things. I suppose I could use Git on Windows, though

Will add it to the list! I still need to play through Neverwinter Nights! 😛

I used to like playing MMOs but I’ve been having some trouble getting into them lately. Not sure why :/

So Disney is coming out with a box set consisting of most of their films: https://www.polygon.com/23868034/disney-100-movie-blu-ray-set-pre-order

    Very cool but expensive!

    in reply to: Cooking #1214

Finally got around to ordering another cookbook: The Cake Bible. Should be here sometime next week!

    in reply to: Gramps #1212

Yay! How far back does your DB go so far?

Cool! Those are quite extensive! That must have taken a lot of work!
