Did try the group, no issue, at least on tablet landscape.

Thanks, easy with a terminal, not so easy getting shell/WHM access to launch it without the appropriate account privileges. πŸ™
No worries, it’s slow here as well – it turns out the only way to get full integration in TPP is subscribe to an O365 account β€œhosted” by them. Which is done, as the current one year term with MS is up.
They plan to perform the β€œmigration” today or tomorrow. Assuming the same tenant settings apply to the migrated account, it should be plain sailing ahead. πŸ™‚
Oh yes, setting up the account in EM Client is a no-brainer. πŸ˜›

Paddy was asked why he was going the wrong way up a one way street:
          What’s wrong, I’m going one way aren’t I?
How about this for a Law & Order Opening:

Now we know all about tiny houses, escrow, and bumber sticker:

Yeah, we could update the theme. Will need to transfer the CSS and edit it for the new one but we’ll get there. πŸ™‚

Should probably keep the current one installed until the styles are transferred πŸ™‚

The blockquote spacing is set with padding in the CSS. I may be able to change it after all πŸ™‚

Now that BP has been updated (with thanks) would the scenario of the 2024 theme rendering things lifeless, and the subsequent return to 2023 not resurrecting them convey the impression of irksome, and then some?

How does the spacing of the content in this group look on your machine? Over here it fits perfectly if the width of the browser window is a little under the screen width, not quite the same issue on Android though. πŸ™‚

Back in the day they would release “Collector’s item” comic editions, usually compilations, best of’s, or reprints of #1s or notable artist or event editions. Believe it or not, there’s even an article about that, doesn’t mention value or prices, unsurprisingly. πŸ˜›
πŸ™‚ If for some reason we become unsatisfied with the veracity of content on the Book of Alternative Records, we could publish our own Alternative Book of Alternative Records, with a note in the preface explaining that the current edition won’t contain alternative facts! πŸ˜›
Got the landscaper here, he’s dug out a large Century Plant as the radial roots have been pushing up pups for years now. The description and proposed actions in this article are rather drastic, over here “more gentle” methods such as application of undiluted glyphosate on the triffids agave clusters have also failed. Despite a soft spot for the appearance of plant and flower, there is no hankering for an agave lawn, and bye the bye it has spread a little down the eastern gully side, and more prominently on the far northern hillside. πŸ™

The problem with minor injuries is not so much the first time round wounding, it’s when something happens to area again (and again) most likely in transit, away from the house. Been there, done that. πŸ˜›
Healing nicely then, great, the rubber thimbles help with splinters over here, got a splinter Friday evening in the garden, the thing went in the through the outside edge of the thumb close to the nail, and as you know, flesh softens with age so it went in deep. Little bit of pain with it, which is unusual here, and there was always the risk of tetanus. Didn’t think it would come out until well into next week, fortunately not so, the flesh was softened further by the thimble and it popped out nicely tonight, a pleasant turnaround. πŸ™‚
Hmmm, looking through some of the reviews, no match found – is that the scene between Mahit Dzmare and Three Seagrass? Interesting book, they are sure to make a movie of it. πŸ™‚

Does that mean that by the time a Maxx “C” is drawn, and the opponent has already summoned 6 monsters, you get to draw 6 cards while he draws none? Surely the nomination of the Maxx “C” card on the play of the “Sales Ban” should be illegal if you have already used it?
Get ads on FTA and elsewhere for “Scarlet and Violet” TCGs like this one. Not sure if that is exactly the same one, either way they are very popular. πŸ™‚

Poor old Reddit is bowing under the pressure of too many questions it seems; sympathy rather, at least as far as they are concerned, tends to be in short supply these days. πŸ˜›

First time I’ve almost cut off part of a digit and the recovery isn’t fun. It’s pretty boring having to keep the pressure off, not to mention the difficulty it adds in performing daily tasks. πŸ˜›

This – is – awful. Did it happen in the garden – do admit there were some close shaves here with the goats and sheep in the past. What works for me is a quick soak of the wound in antiseptic, then keep in a dry gauzy bandage for a day or so. Give the area a bit of sun for 30 minutes. Then use “thimbles” cut from rubber gloves for protection, quick soak sin antiseptic also help to prevent infection. πŸ™‚

Suggest you get a start on it, by the sheer size it’ll be yonks before lineage, roots, and bloodlines resolve from the blur. πŸ˜›

Thanks, it’s Windows Terminal 1.19 they use in Gramps, surprisingly no copy as such in the TL menu, but an export text function which could be handy. In Settings>Actions you can redefine the keys as well. In the meantime, the GUI turns out to be less of a user memory hog. πŸ˜›
Related is the debug logging system Nick links onto at the end of this thread. Logging doesn’t appear to be configured in the gui at all, rather through script, console commands, or command line parameters, which might be a bit awkward for some. πŸ™

Fetch box is on the way, so once activated, there’s no going back to the TTV. The service operator said they were fine, mustering the temerity for the riposte “fine, for landfill?” not on tap. πŸ˜›
Acquired a nice clock like this the other day:
                        Belvedere Clock
Didn’t realize the url link for the clock is the actual image – cool!
Digital clocks are passΓ©, and so are the keys that wind them, and if anything gets lost in clockland, the keys go first. As there is a dearth of “Swiss Army Knife” digital clock keys, procuring the right key for the clock can be a lengthy and expensive operation. Instead, the decision here is to try out a bunch of micro tweezers from Ali Express, the worst case is if they don’t come in handy for splinters and the like, they’ll make a wonderful gift for icky friends & foes at Tweezermas. πŸ˜›

The Telstra TV3 Roki box, for all its shortcomings, has now found itself in perfect condition with a friendly, stable interface, and 100% proven reliability of service. The good times will not last, as it will be unceremoniously decommissioned by the provider, the cheapest replacement being is a Fetch mini.
The old TTV box will not remain a relic on these premises because the providers are accepting returns, which shows they care, in a roundabout Roki kind of way. πŸ™‚

Is it happening to the same pattern and frequency as before? If there is underground optical fibre to the house, something en route is causing the interference. As the co-tenants in the block experience the same, the service providers should have come back with a report on the first outage at least.
Get TD-LTE 4G from a nearby tower, if the tower goes, there’s sure to be a delay, so it’s back to setting up the phone line again with the old modem for Broadband, or even back to dial-up with another provider. πŸ˜›

The categorization of comedy is funny in many of these type of movies, funny in that

                                  • It was either too tragic or not tragic enough not to be tragic, so it had to be comedy.
                                  • As attempts by the movie-makers of light heartedness or jollity in each dramatic event of the movie failed to fire, a critique of the resulting concatenation of the misfired events had to be made in a comical context, in light of the argument that comedy is defined as the whole not being the sum of the parts.
                                  • It was comedy enough for the creators of the movie to even conceive of the notion others would even be discussing this dilemma.

Barbershop: The Next Cut is a no-nonsense movie with a no-nonsense and fast paced dialogue, so very much a comedy. Lots of fun, not all quite to the sweet spot this way. πŸ™‚
Almost to the end of Dark Winds (series 1), disappointed with the scripted decision making of some of the characters, particularly the FBI agent, so the whole thing comes off as a bit hokey. Plenty of Navajo lore in there, and the ominous cloud sequence is a plus.

After they installed it, there are now two entries in Installed Apps, Microsoft Teams (Work and School) and Microsoft Teams Classic (as before), after choosing an account in the opening gui of new MS Teams, we get:

We’re sorry – We’ve run into an issue.

The program restarts, and reselecting the account still gets the same.
Verification of the above-mentioned curtains with running the old Teams C:\Users\ME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Teams\current\Teams.exe as we get the same message as before, this time however, still signed in with the defunct lm******@oz*****.au though.
Disabled the new from running at startup by removing the link to Update.exe in:

                                      Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

There is perhaps a glimmer of hope on the old conversations returning to the gui next run. πŸ™‚

The final curtain has been drawn on TC:

The new Teams is installed and ready to use
You can switch now or later. If you do nothing, we’ll switch you the next time Teams is idle.

They installed it without asking, and the “later” means next time the program is run, the same nag prompt comes up with no way ray back into the old conversations. πŸ™

Just a little niggle that was thought to be mentioned here previously,- apparently not.
Created an extra FTP account in cPanel, lmstearnTPP just to try instead of the horrible account name xzjkv5sl.
Came back access denied, so submitted a ticket. Good news on the stuff missed, the ticket was updated with the following:

                                          Resolved, the settings are:

                                          FTP Username: lm*********@st*********.com
                                          FTP server: http://ftp.stearnvault.com
FTP & explicit FTPS port: 21

The /home/xzjkv5sl/stearnvault.com/lmstearnTPP directory was added by default in cPanel. Didn’t exist, so should have been just /home/xzjkv5sl.
Also WinSCP (or I) somehow ended up using the lower case lmstearntpp instead of lmstearnTPP. The lower case login never worked, so all of the above things contributed to the access denied error.

There is still an issue getting onto:
                                          http://www.stearnvault.com/webmail
This was mentioned in their welcoming letter:

Log in using the full email address and associated password. Note: Webmail should be used when accessing email away from your main computer, such as when on vacation. It is not designed to be used for day to day email access.

And there is a current kerfuffle regarding their zendesk interface where I cannot login to view the entire content of this godforsaken ticket.

Grading and cover pricing are relatively recent developments in comic pubs, there’s thread on grading and Cvr pricing over at Reddit. Back in the day, comic syndication was the province of newspaper editors, as a replacements these on first spec come across as an elaborate way of increasing revenue for Mr. Middleman!
