Yes, life as we know it, and we know that we don’t know too much of what’s out there. For instance, how do we know life (as we don’t know it) might exist within a class of stellar bodies? Creatures perhaps possessing the physical capacity to withstand a few thousand degrees at the sun’s surface, but not the temperatures of the hot corona. Could it be those crafty beings expel those pesky hot energy packets to keep cool? 😛

Not planning to play anything like Bug Fables either. 😛 Another one to watch out for is Dragon’s Dogma, with the sequel just round the corner.
For all the fanfare of La-La Land, the character selection was a bit ordinary, methinks something like a Lizzo interlude could have mixed it up a bit. The tracks were cool, a little bit of the 95 piece studio orchestra vibe got lost in the Protools dubbing/synthing somehow (setup explained in Sound on Sound), otherwise very enjoyable, and worth a second look.
Sex, Lies, and Videotape is a remarkably beautiful film, at the closing credits, a poem detailing the unfolding of the layers on a rare fruit revealing a neatly set, but imperfect kernel. Recommended,- not for a second viewing here though, in case it ruins the experience from the first. 🙂

Renamed the topic to accommodate other SSL concerns.
The cPanel domain page has Force HTTPS Redirect unchecked, which comes up as an error in WP Toolkit. Various internet threads cite various reasons for turning it on, over here there seemed no need, as all pages loaded with SSL, unless, of course they didn’t. 😛

Think the reason for not turning it on relates to the OldSite page returning an error page.
Might seem a cop out in light of the possibility of OldSite not working after, followed by fruitless attempts to fix Humpty Dumpty. This fear not only derives from the unsafe Force HTTPS Redirect switch-off, but from an irrational, unhealthy, and unholy paranoia which has now rooted permanently in the psyche!

Your’re right, I think I will revert the Style Pack setting, it’s up to the poster of the link to make the decision. Even though there has never been a poll, I’m pretty sure democracy would have links in new tabs, thus at least the check should be on by default, so the poster has to uncheck it to exercise his wish.

Would you believe it worked today? Checked folder access is fine, might be a Litespeed issue, or even a host hiccup beyond our purview. 😛
A consequence is that the post edit LINK button which does not default to a new page, not affecting the url in new tab default action. As some users do not always prefer link on new page, an alternative is to instead make permanent the selection of Open link in a new tab in the LINK dialogue. Solution here?

The following is an excerpt from the ticket posted to the account by me a week ago re the post at Whirlpool.

A 2016 SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET TAB A 10.1, and a 2021 SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET TAB A 8.

The old Aldi SIM in the A10.1 was working fine since activation 4/2018, and up to last week, with no issues in account, reception coverage or anything else.

Inserted a SIM from a $5 starter pack into the A8 tablet about 10 days ago, activated the account (with the same phone number), no response from the device, with “out of service” from the SIM status in Settings.
Manually connecting to Aldi from Settings did not (and will not) work either. The SIM is inserted correctly, after verification with a representative in ALDI store, who indicated there were active bars on the top menu.
So attempted to insert another new ($5 starter pack) SIM in the older A10.1 tablet, and after system recognizing the SIM was inserted, rebooted, but the same “out of service” issue as the A8 cropped up unfortunately.
Then, (woe is me) selected the option of _transferring_ the number from the old SIM to the new SIM in the setup, which now renders the original SIM as completely non-functional, producing a “not provisioned” error. Do have that old 20 digit SIM number, however the 2018 activation code cannot be located, so bringing back the old SIM to life may not be possible.
It is a matter of some urgency, if all else fails, to bring that old (2018) SIM back into service.

The support guy on the phone said the service provider has their own system of support tickets, so, apparently, he didn’t find it necessary to read any of the above blurb. Lucky him. 😛
The original SIM is now permanently un provisioned, thus unusable.
Many attempts to activate the service on the either SIM with the provider software failed with SIM_not_Found errors, Android spitting out_of_service, cannot_connect etc. Rang first tier support today, they were very patient, the fuzzy landline phone service from their country didn’t help communication. Swapping SIMs didn’t help, they also verified there was never any record in the account of SIM activation back at the end of February, could that have been some kind of glitch, who knows.
Support (re-)activated the second SIM which was at the time inserted in the old tablet. No connection, swapped with the new tablet, still no dice.
After the support call, swapped the SIMs again, tried out SIM Device Info, showed up with no SIM present on the old tablet.
Then, amidst gasps of utter amazement, it showed signs of SIM life on the new tablet, no service though, so swapped SIMS again, so that the old SIM is back in the new tablet, and the new SIM back in the old tablet.
Praise be to SIM Device Info, the SIM is now detected on the new tablet, and detected with active phone service on the old tablet! 🙂
Now, with something working at last, how much of a LOF is it in attempting to coax the new SIM to function on the new tablet, as was the original plan? 😛

Strange thing happened of little or less consequence, uploaded an attachment to Media, and then attempted to delete it, got “Error in deleting the attachment“.
The Googled WP forum threads indicated various issues related to the error, each of which entailed the traversement of large and cavernous rabbit holes. Whilst fleeing from such predicaments, happened on clicking the “Edit More Details” jumplink bottom right of the attachment in Media, and, deleting from there … faster than Road Runner, vamoose!
This experience shrewdly and skittishly segued into the posing of an older question, dare we take the plunge into Twenty Twenty-Four?

Dealing with the ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID experienced earlier this evening (AutoSSL checking a wobbly?) was solved by navigating to Tools/Security/Certificates, and then INSTALL AND MANAGE SSL FOR YOUR SITE (HTTPS) and find the stearnvault.com line in the central left listbox showing red.

Clicking the “Update Certificate” button on the right made the error go away. 🙂

Another fun approach to redirection is to play on the memories of the visitors. knowing they are sure they remembered how the previous maze went, keep the first 100 m of pathways the same as before, then include subtle changes, then more, so by the middle of the maze they are completely lost! 🙂
