Good luck with the X-Fi, dug up a four year old post with driver problems.
Driver problems with VR known at AMD and Reddit. No issue without the VR headset then?
As a matter of interest, tried more than one monitor yet? There’s a few issues with PrgLnch & W11, we’ll get to them. πŸ™‚

Building a prototype with something like TinkerCad is a sure way to convert ideas into form. Creating a video walkthrough of your models is a nice way to share the creation process while soliciting positive feedback. A picture is worth a thousand words, hence multiples of that apply to videos.
Overlays outlining things like energy consumption, circuitry, lighting, air circulation can be applied to the base models where appropriate, even better if they can be visually appealing. πŸ™‚

Actually, it’s no problem – as per their email:

I can see the usage spike -yes this is a bug, not resetting your usage counters from the beginning of this year. This has no adverse impacts nor would it trigger any resources restrictions -a soft display only (please Ignore it, thanks)

Actually signed up with CloudFlare last year, it was in relation to the CK login and whatever was attempted wouldn’t have worked as the target site wasn’t mine. CloudFlare’s signup process actually required our site, in fact, the whole experience was so bamboozling I deleted the CloudFlare account. During that process, there were warnings to the effect that you could never re-signup in with the same site details after account deletion. A bit scary, and rather terminal, so, to date haven’t attempted any account creation with them.

Should be! YouTube has an API that could be useful for a standalone script.

They also have an example using cURL:

                                Shell

                                curl \
                                'https://youtube.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/videos?part=snippet%2CcontentDetails%2Cstatistics&myRating=like&key=[YOUR_API_KEY]' \
                                --header 'Authorization: Bearer [YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN]' \
                                --header 'Accept: application/json' \
                                --compressed

Similar options with wget so I don’t see why it won’t work as well!

A useful resource might be some kind of look-up table to sort the items in a categorized way. Possibly scraping Wikipedia articles for their Wikidata equivalents on the first pass, for instance the Wikidata page for My Old Man’s a Dustman has a bunch of keywords for reference.

Well, what about something that is sadly lacking in the real world, an adjustable night_lite clock! One which goes light years past the one purchased recently, which now just functions as a clock, as the light batteries wore out too quickly because the sensor was too sensitive.
                                  So

                                  • Adjustable sound for chimes on the hour
                                  • Adjustable motion sensor sensitivity
                                  • Light’s on sensor adjustable to present shade of darkness
                                  • Adjustable sound for motion sensor activate
                                  • Adjustable light for one, two, or all three hands
                                  • Adjustable glow light, possibly tiny LEDs around the perimeter of the clock
                                  • Adjustable colours for the lights
                                  • Adjustable flash frequency for the lights
                                  • A small range of configurable themes for the clock

Obviously too much control circuitry control for the clock by itself, so next best option is a USB connection to a computer control panel to set the above options, which are then fed into the clock’s own memory, which is supported by sliver oxide or zinc air batteries.

Do you run a browser through Linux/POP? What do you do for security/firewall – put stuff in the hosts file or something else like uBlock Origin?

A UPS is important addition, sudden power offs will cause data corruption, just find one that can keep the system up for 10-15 minutes max.
