Okay, so you did have four monitors hooked up to the old desktop rig, do they all have dvi/hdmi/displayport connectors?
Sounds like the new monitor is the one and same in use, right? (Still very much in antique DVI land here, and HDMI still for the televisions. 😛 )

Oh, well while the weather is warming up for spring, the pebble button is wanting the firm touch again. Must be the contacts literally shrinking from the very idea of coping without all that nice permafrost around! 😛
And yes, definitely not running the Vax or any other heavy equipment (jackhammers, compressors, generators) near this rig whenever…[Read more]

Could be, next time it happens, we’ll set up a crime scene, won’t be too long as there were one or two new arrivals today.
Yes, he updated it religiously, here are snapshots for 2005, 2010, and 2015, after which the site was revamped.
Subliminal is a nice turn on Superliminal, as seen in the trailer:

Um, sounds like you might be considering loading up Starfield.
Not tempted to see the TV series then?
After years of swarms of vinegar Flies happily feasting on the citrus/onion scraps in a bucket in the laundry, there has occurred a mass extinction event. Possibly bacteria, but no perceived odour.

  • With enough shopping points accumulated, it was time to make the plunge and nab an S8 Tab. The current S10.1 Tab still works beautifully, although out of O/S support, the 16GB is still plenty of memory, whereas the S8 has a whopping 128GB, most of which will probably not be planned for access. Is there any point in rooting the old S10.5, or should…[Read more]

Going to play The Sims on Windows again? Might go nicely with Vulkan on Linux.
Yes, MAD has gone entirely to Reprintsville, there will be nothing like it again, I’m afraid. Yet, … still looking. 🙂
Sounds like they they have found a template, or at least the rock had an idea of what you were looking for, and ran off to get it!

    Ouch! All my kerf…

It was the original, and back on the watchlist as might have confused it with something else. 🙂
Don’t get all of the negative feedback on Legend, even though Scott did take on the task of pruning a fair chunk off the original to “suit the locale.” It’s a fantasy after all, and seemed to be adequate for the genre, although some of the scenes were…[Read more]

Second one is more in character, also like the retro ones.
Always thought pork fat was much healthier than beef fat. Turns out, not that much. 😛

  • Certainly, or even some aspect of the card itself. Has been tested before. Nothing in the NVIDIA logs of interest, the times of the logged events (adjusted to local time only in their backup files) all point to the time when the driver is loaded. Nothing in the shell, CBS or DISM logs either.
And there’s always the drama with bootup. 😛

  • When considering trying out the unpaid version of Personal Vault (PV for short), be urged to read the fine print beforehand, or incur all of what has befallen to this poor user in resorting to threads such as this for reference.

  • This could be very much a machine specific issue, as this one has form. Just before submitting an edit to a post, Windows Explorer kicked the pail and restarted, and the Edge tabbed windows assumed a different order. Nothing in the system logs for that, so no way to ever determine if these things could ever be related.
    After submitting the post…[Read more]

  • How odd! On the desktop it is the submit button, so if the post body is empty:

    • Error: Your topic cannot be empty.
  • Your call entirely, actually not unhappy with the way it operates right now. As long as folks know it’s under the auspices of WP and not something else going on with the browser software. 🙂

There’s no room anywhere to post our ridiculous piccies. Here’s another post, of our favourite dog, spent hours trying to find out how one could post it as a simple slideshow in Facebook, guides like these don’t work. The remaining option is just to record the stills in an MP4 video. 😕
Right now, after a bit of thunder it is raining! Hope it keeps…[Read more]

  • Really weird there was never a desktop version for YouTube shorts, so that the layout would be more like the regular length videos. All that white space, and two clicks just to get the description. So did a bit of googling to answer this question.
The purpose of which was to view this video in standard YouTube format, so the description at least…[Read more]

Wow, know what model? If it’s possible to view the content either through the camera or an SD reader, does there come up anything interesting?
How interesting, the Wikipedia article says there was an earlier series:

Starting in July 2009, Power Girl received her first ongoing series, simply titled Power Girl (vol. 2), with the first twelve i…

  • Right now, it takes fourteen tab key-downs to reach the body of the post from the title. There are plenty of sites that do it in one, can it be done with CSS?

  • In creating a post, long lines that touch the right margin will wrap, unless a space is inserted (haven’t tested for other whitespace characters). There is no change in visual effect when spaces are inserted there, when collapsed they are remembered in that every backspace corresponds with each space typed.
