Awesome!
I can’t access it on any of my devices over here so feel free to do a smash and grab of anything of interest!
Organizing the collection is a pain in the butt but it needs to be done so that I can find everything! But ugh. 😛
Yep! They had various multi-part episodes and they’d have ongoing storylines across a season. The early seasons were mostly self contained episodes, though
I think I may have that issue in a box somewhere! I distinctly remember it 😀
Yep! Luke’s plan never did make sense! What was he thinking? 😛
Got the e-reader back up and running! Still having some database issues, though. Don’t know why I can’t get certain books, going to need to look into it at some point. Even some I’m trying to renew say the database entry is bad, which is weird :/
So they’re building robots to test out how dinos used to live: https://newatlas.com/science/robot-dinosaurs-hunting-techniques/
Animatronic Jurassic Park please!
Yeah, it can get pretty trying at times with some of the support inquiries (speaking from experience! :P)
Great! Glad it got sorted out 🙂

They also sometimes send takedown notices for YouTube videos. There have recently been attempts to make Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine and I keep expecting Nintendo to shut it down.
Nintendo is also investigating the Paleworld assets for plagiarism as they feel it may be a bit too similar to Pokemon for their liking. Some of the models do look very similar so they may have some grounds there but, again, I haven’t really looked at things too closely

Shallow Grave was a fun one. Acting was hilariously bad, which gave it a certain charm. It also focused on the two dudes just driving around a lot even though they played no role in the film 😛
Yep, Dodgeball was fun!
Going to plan to see Night of the Lepus soon. Should be fun! 😀
Not in the games but in the other media it has. Originally, Mewtwo was a clone of Mew by Giovani’s scientists, aiming to create the ultimate Pokemon. Mewtwo got pissed at the experiments it was subjected to so it broke out, and destroyed, the lab. In Red, Blue, and Yellow you can actually explore what’s left of the lab (not much). As a result, Mewtwo lost faith in humans, which led up to the events of Pokemon: The Movie where it forced humans and their Pokemon to fight clones. Ever since then, Mewtwo has been traveling across the Poke-Earth looking for a purpose. It doesn’t look for trouble anymore but will still fight humans if they don’t leave it alone. I know a lot of Pokemon lore 😛
Looks like they’re saying they specifically won’t host mods that add Pokemon to the game but are okay with mods for Palworld otherwise. I agree with that decision as it’s a tricky legal area and Nintendo aggressively protects their copyrights and trademarks. 🙂
As for it being a ripoff, I couldn’t say yet. I’ll need to play it before I can draft an opinion (it’s on the wish list!). I would say that it’s inspired by Pokemon, though, and a lot of other games are.
I need a new way to keep track of articles that are of interest. I had been using Pocket but they made some changes under the hood so it’s now extremely slow on mobile (sometimes it takes over ten minutes to launch if it does at all). Any ideas? Been saving things as bookmarks but that quickly gets out of hand. 😛
Still need to sift through them at some point and start sharing again.
Twice Dead was a fun one, if a tad slow. Usual horror plot holes but the acting was surprisingly good!
Yeah, I skipped Year One as it looked a bit silly 😛
Ooh, Donovan’s Brain looks right up my alley. Really do like those types of films. Speaking of, I still need to rewatch the Brain that Wouldn’t Die. That was a fun one!
Yeah, we can add the WebM stuff to the list to look at once we get some of the other kinks worked out (still hoping to see some of our specific fixes in the style pack’s release notes). 🙂
if we moved posts back to the beginning of the forums era, it would be like having Windows 98 books on the shelf.
I strongly disagree! Even old content like that can be useful. Often, Microsoft removes documentation for features that still exist but not used very much. Also, there are a lot of features they don’t document at all. It’s also helpful for the rare times that someone is still using Windows 98 (it does happen! I have an old 98 disc around here somewhere….)
Yeah, those paywalls can be annoying! They need to be upfront about things!
Sorry, forgot to include the current forbidden list: https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/list_2024-01-01/
It’s noticeably different from the Japanese and digital versions of the game. Really don’t know why they don’t have the same limitations across the board. It’d make more sense!
And the international tournament is even weirder: it’s a weird mashup of both TCG (Europe and the Americas) and OCG (Asia) rulings and limited lists. 😛
Sort of. Those are older from about ten years ago, been working on a more modern version. So far, I’ve been using this list as a boiler plate. So far, I’m probably at version 1.1.1. Starting to get an idea of what other cards I want to swap out but I’ll have a better handle on it once I get some play time in with it. 🙂
And they should call them creatures instead of monsters! They’re not all “monsters”. Quite a few of them are quite human 😛
🙁 The Internet Archive may have some of them!
Yeah, old records like that are generally free if digitized. If not digitized yet, there’s usually a very small fee for tracking them down (small as in 5 USD or about 1 GBP) with the alternative being to go to the Hall of Records. I do wonder if I can track down some of my ancestors. Some of them did come over from Ireland, just not sure when
Oh, and we’ll need some hovercrafts for the futuristic area. Could use them just about anywhere. Could be fun to have hovertrains but may not be entirely practical 😛
Sorry, birthdays always make me glum.
Yep, tons of things we can do for sea serpents. It’s generally believed that a lot of the stories were sightings of the elusive giant squid! Could include one somewhere as an Easter egg. Maybe as an egg with tendrils? Make it a literal Easter egg! 😀
We don’t get Whovians over here. We’re lucky to even get the main series a few months after broadcast. 🙁 Though, Disney+ did add the specials within a couple of weeks so maybe they’ll be up here sooner now.
Yeah, and the quantity of the companions increased over time. The more they had, the worse they got as they had too many individual stories to focus on. Rose was one of the better ones of the new series but, sadly, her time was short even if she did pop up from time to time in later episodes. And then we had Whittaker’s Doctor. So many companions! Loved her Doctor but too many companions! 😛
You mean something like this? Sure, could be fun!
Yep, having some Rube Goldberg machines around would be fun. Just not in the bathrooms! That could be a bit of an issue if they’re too slow to work! 😛 Could add them to the food stalls where the LEGO robots are working. Maybe set them all up to work together, maybe even add in a marble run? Marble runs are cool!
Could do a bit of a fun house, where everything is activated by a pressure plate when you enter. It sets off other devices, which rinse and repeat. Not sure of how to trigger a moving sidewalk, though. Maybe doing it as a slow moving boat ride would be better? Too much friction for a moving sidewalk

And the Mouse on the Shelf could also be useful!
Their website is still using old share links? Cool! They don’t go searching for Bigfoot. Pretty sure that’s the realm of cryptozoologists, though 😛
Kind of surprised the organization wasn’t featured in The X-Files. If it was, I missed it. Probably should watch the series again, anyhow. 🙂 Didn’t watch the newer seasons. Watched a few episodes and they didn’t have the same charm so I didn’t continue.
Haven’t really come across anything but didn’t know about the site. Will check it out!
Yeah, clock radios seem to be decreasing in quality. That makes me sad. 🙁 They’re still useful! Not everyone wants to pull out their phones to check the time and they’re great for background noise! Speaking of which, I need to track down a few myself. They’re getting rather hard to come by over here!
Sorry, missed this. Yeah, Gravatar again! It can get a bit confusing but Gravatar is automatically used with the accounts generated automatically without the users’ knowledge. Bit of a privacy issue, which is why we had it turned off at TAL. 🙂
Version 1.0 of the Black Wing deck I found online has arrived. I found some more issues with it as I was assembling it. It turns out that a few of the extra deck monsters are impossible to bring out so I’ll tag them for a rework. Already made some tweaks to it so I’ll take a closer look at things when I get the chance and see what else it needs. 🙂
It’s interesting: while I’m a decent programmer, I have a lot of trouble actually doing anything on computers and related devices. Most of it comes from an inability to focus on the screen (this has always been an issue, especially when watching films). Even when coding, I need to write it out on paper first before typing it up. That’s part of why I run so many analysis tools when I pick up a project from someone else. Would say more about the digital transition but that’s a topic for another thread!
Anyways! While the card database is helpful, it’s difficult for me to come up with a coherent strategy unless I have the physical cards. Playing online is okay but I have times when I simply can’t focus and screw up royally (no offense to royalty!). 😛 Definitely have fewer issues with the physical game 🙂
Side note: I really need a new programming project. Beginning to feel up to coding again 🙂
Good way to populate a flea circus, though! Always good to have a flea market around 😀
My grandfather used to say that he felt that the psychics didn’t need signs telling them about their annual meeting 😛
