  • Whelp, Blackwings can’t use Crystal Wing effectively like I initially thought: the opening cards lock you in to Dark creatures while Crystal Wing is a Wind creature. Subbed it in anyways as I can still use it if I can’t get the appropriate combo off. Still, I’ll go back to trawling through the card database for a good option.

Been meaning to ask this for quite some time but better late than never!

I have some worn out socks that are a mixture of synthetic and natural material. Can these be recycled at all or do they just need to be thrown out? I know that, with a uniform material make, there are outfits that will break them down and reuse the resources but having a…[Read more]

  • Yep, can see where it would be a good name for a Western. Recently got confused by Apple’s new series Dark Matter due to SyFy having an older space opera show by that name (which was great!) 😛

Started watching Andy Sidaris’s films the other day and they’re a lot of fun if you like cheesy action flicks (I do!).

  • Lorcana doesn’t seem to have an official card database but I’ll investigate the third-party ones so I can get some information added

Additionally, I’m thinking it may be helpful to add some information on some of the more popular fan formats for some of the games listed in the opening post. Thoughts?

Started reading up on tokamaks today (need to finish the article another day as it’s a lot to take in) and they’re pretty interesting. In essence, they’re giant magnets with an injection component so that different substances can be added for regulation, depending on what the operator wants to do. In addition, they use a layer of expensive heavy…[Read more]

  • That’s what the issue was? When I was testing, I just assumed you were getting the issue with the malformed ol and ul tags. 😛

I’ve always wondered why hardware manufacturers stylize components that you’re never going to see. Motherboards have color designs, video cards have similar, and some processors even have art etched on them. This was also before transparent cases became more common.

    In other news:…[Read more]

  • Does a new post exhibit the same behavior with the recent bbPress updates?

  • Recalled this gem the other day: https://www.armadillorun.com/

Have fond memories of playing it years ago. I wonder how it’s held up over the decades?

May get myself a so-called desk mat for the odd cases where I run out of mouse pad room 😛

Ten years is the estimate before it hits 80% capacity so, in theory, it should stay alive for a total of fifteen to twenty at reduced capacity. But time will tell! Definitely relic worthy!

    Let’s hope it works!

In my experience, off-brand batteries don’t…[Read more]

My favorite part is where he was supposedly drunk and on crack the whole time. He even got barred from entering the studio as the guard thought he was a random nutcase. Sounds about right 😛

Really need to watch Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels at some point. Its Talk page is a pretty fun read, too! 🙂

The Rift was pretty enjoyable, even if…[Read more]

Almost stayed for yesterday’s tournament since it was starting earlier than usual but decided I wasn’t yet ready. One day! 🙂

Getting my mom set up with an Ecoflow Delta 2 Max. She lives in an area with a sensitive grid so she’d like to be able to get some power when they get clobbered by a hurricane. 🙂

“I’ll explode when I want to explode! Oh look, a space probe! Target practice!” 😀

It’s a standard Dish Network dish. It’s pretty banged up and looks like a tree had fallen on it so it may not be usable (the shape is all out of whack). Won’t know until I fix a wire to it and plug it into a radio, though. For cooler weather!

  • Lorcana seems to be pretty popular. Perhaps it’s worth including it into the first post?

Thinking about buying a couple of Pokemon starter decks. Never did play the game, just liked the artwork. Would be a slight change but I’m kind of in the mood to try a game that’s a little less intense than Yu-Gi-Oh. Not that I plan to quit playing, just want…[Read more]

Trying to do some research on plasma confinement for some ideas bouncing around the dusty processor and Wikipedia’s article leaves a little to be desired: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_confinement

It just links to the different types instead of providing a general overview. The overview would be really helpful so I had a better handle on…[Read more]

Sorry! Looks like that image was removed for whatever reason. Here’s a new one!

Yeah, the A/C is set to turn on at 80F. The humidity is so bad, though, that it’s still very high outside even at 72F. It’s horrible!

Great! Yeah, I need to do that with my lamps. As I use them, the screws holding the shafts together and the one holding the shade…[Read more]

  • I have the entire series of Flying Circus on DVD! 😀

Could also use it to mail a letter! 😛

  • The sleeves came in and they work like a charm! They’re a much better fit than the basic standard sized sleeves over a regular Japanese sized sleeve with much less movement. 🙂
