    Have to explore Tubi again.
Never knew Stephen King tried his hand at directing, bad luck with an Italian crew, should have just stuck with fixing the script though.
The idea of Mansion of the Doomed could have been extended to animals, a real hoot if the vision was restored with the eyes of a regular barn owl, for instance.

  • Classic takes, forgot all about Agatha Clouseau’s inspired script. 😀
Right now, streaming Screw, a series based on the comings and goings of staff in a UK prison. In one episode, the head of the wing decides to install an amnesty box for the prisoners to voluntarily relinquish various items of contraband:

Nothing too hilarious there, until one…[Read more]

Great, well know we all will know to take backups before upgrades of various flavours – firmware, infirmware, brainrackware. 😛
The last two apply here as a result of not going to specsavers (not in your country though). Thought the second DP was an HDMI, now wonder it didn’t fit, and the second screen on the TV works of course! 🙂
    Tried out the…[Read more]

It’s got AVR, which doesn’t help, the new downstairs PC works fine on it, will investigate further.
The old monitors here don’t have DP ports unfortunately, the good news is the Alogic DP => DVI adapter worked, so the VS248h can be used as a fallback monitor. 🙂
Definitely, watch for dust though if there is no cover, the drive on the old Palsonic…[Read more]

Gone the whole hog and acquired this viewsonic monitor because it’s HDR10, a thing in Windows now. The 2k res is there if needed, provided it’s not from the UHD770. 😛
The new Ob rig has an HDMI 2.1 port actually, which renders as absolutely useless with current tech, so the other DP port will have to be converted to HDMI for the TV.
    Madness. 😛

Here too, an installation USB is mandatory.
🙂 Fabulous, now one supposes that whatever is in that PopOS drive will lead you back to Linux Land. Heard from support yet?

Here’s the skinny on the new rig: https://valid.x86.fr/pkm8wh
Has two DP ports and one HDMI, which is standard, and as many lower priced monitors have one DP and two HDMI, the work…[Read more]

  • Yes, do remember giggling at Chucky, on the list again. 😀
Dying on the Edge is flicked in the idiom of true B-Grade, possessing elements that both move and intrigue. The screenplay is rather smooth, laced with a professional touch, and is well directed with a solid supporting cast. And it’s very sad, 3.5/5 here.
Right now streaming The Vanishing…[Read more]

  • The Back-UPS RS 900G there might require a replacement battery, however no warnings from the UPS monitor software. Could also be touching on the threshold of insufficient voltage as the PC was tested on another AC outlet. As is often the case out in the boondocks, the waveforms of the current can be a bit blocky, and the PSU itself is as old as…[Read more]

That’s odd, is it just a standard sugar syrup like the one here? Of course it would make sense if it were for just one sponge section, was a particular filling recommended for it? She also welcomes questions. 🙂
Lovely, any recipes in mind? Wikihow covers the basics rather well. 🙂

Anything from the Little Shop of Nuclear Plant Horrors is sure to take one off-piste, even if you happen to be a script writer for the film!

Ooh, you have a neon sign? Don’t have Blockbuster over here so a sign like this might look out of place. 😛

The following would be a worthy addition to a shopfront – or even a residence, even if it adds a little to light pollution.

Put White Heat on the list, it’s a classic!

Saw Poultrygeist some years ago, memories of fun but copious amounts of eggsplosive diarrhea were insufficient to warrant a second viewing. Love the Troma titles:

There’s also Windows PE, handy if you want to fix the Windows first. GRUB is certainly an option, here’s a guide on the UEFI usage. 🙂

Visual BCDEdit would be terrific if it could show gui forms when run from a recovery disk, indeed something like XTGold from early DOS would be a blast. 😛

A good idea might have been a sister site, STI@Home, the search for terrestrial intelligence. At this moment, as well as other moments past and present, Computational Biology looks to be beyond mine, curiously the timeline chart of the Genome project ends abruptly at 2003.

  • Something about the Dirk Gently series that cam off a little flat perhaps, perhaps little Red Dwarf corn for a lift. The book is certainly on the list, in fact someone from Goodreads said:

Is there a chance you can access the drive from Linux in a VM from Windows? At the very least one could grab the config files.

The old Skyrim unit came back from the repairer still with the beeps on boot up. Changed leads, connections, no improvement, so returned it to the repairer and it booted up beautifully. We agreed there was something amiss with the power back at the ranch, the first suspect off the rank being the (not so) old batteries in the UPS.
    On the Ob…[Read more]
