Been reading up online about cleaning up electrical contacts for my workshop’s toolkit and it sounds like DeOxIt is a well regarded go-to for reviving old electricals.

Still need to order some more tools and tool storage but I’ll get there!

Ah, okay. I’ve been playing a lot of No Man’s Sky the past couple of weeks. Been working on building out the power grid for my starter base. The support team for Smeg didn’t want the 100 mb video file created and edited with Clipchamp. So, the easiest thing to do was use Youtube filtering to get the thing down to just under 12mb, at the same resolution.

The  buzzing from the sound chip is more related to a DPC latency thing, happens when playing something in a browser tab, and then switching out to another tab or application.
Because it happens only rarely, updating the driver may or may not necessarily be the fix. otherwise it’s turning off the AMD devices and disabling hardware…[Read more]
