Yep. We were unable to determine what was wrong with Linux so I had to reinstall it. Spent much of yesterday setting things back up (always been a bit slow with configuring software) so we should be able to rock and roll again in a few days 🙂
Is HDMI 2.1 not backwards compatible with 2.0?

Gone the whole hog and acquired this viewsonic monitor because it’s HDR10, a thing in Windows now. The 2k res is there if needed, provided it’s not from the UHD770. 😛
The new Ob rig has an HDMI 2.1 port actually, which renders as absolutely useless with current tech, so the other DP port will have to be converted to HDMI for the TV.
Madness. 😛 -

Watched Maximum Overdrive and it was so bad that it was hilarious. Too many things to list about it but it opens to people sliding off a bridge (Wheeeee!) and slipping on watermelons like banana peels. Definitely worth watching! 😀

Finished up with support a few weeks ago. The only thing left was to restore the Windows bootloader, which went without a hitch. Just didn’t have time to do it before yesterday morning. Now I can go back and finish configuring everything again. 🙂
No surprise that the motherboard is proprietary. Do wish they’d use more standard parts, though, for…[Read more]

Here too, an installation USB is mandatory.
🙂 Fabulous, now one supposes that whatever is in that PopOS drive will lead you back to Linux Land. Heard from support yet? Here’s the skinny on the new rig: https://valid.x86.fr/pkm8wh
Has two DP ports and one HDMI, which is standard, and as many lower priced monitors have one DP and two HDMI, the work…[Read more] -

That was…surprisingly painless. Booted installation USB which sent me to the Install Windows area. At first, I was a bit confused. Thought it would give me a menu to select Install, Repair, etc. Hit Shift + F10 as instructed and that brought up a system command prompt. Tracked down the system drive letter with
diskpart
list volume
exitThe…[Read more]

Since the banning of Baronne a couple of months ago, I’ve been attempting to determine how else to protect me against the effects of Nibiru (will add in links later) as Blackwings are especially vulnerable to its effects, save for Full Armor Master.
Sales Ban is a good option and cheap. As discussed above, if I open with it I can stop the card in…[Read more]

Looks like Microsoft is beginning to deprecate VBScript. Out of curiosity, is there another language that can be used for “extensions” on Windows?

Does the UPS include a voltage regulator? Some of them do and that may help to some degree.
One of these may be helpful. Oftentimes, there are fewer issues when using analog – analog and digital – digital. Granted, I never had an issue with VGA – DVI in the past but that was ~2005 or so.
I do like that TV’s built-in DVD drive. Looks quite handy!…[Read more]

And got Seed of Chucky lined up for this weekend. 🙂
Going to plan to watch The Brain that wouldn’t Die again soon, too. That should be fun!
Turns out that Tubi has Classic Who in their library. Could be fun to watch the old ones! I do miss British comedies. PBS used to show them on weekend nights but stopped doing that about ten years ago. They…[Read more]

Yes, do remember giggling at Chucky, on the list again. 😀
Dying on the Edge is flicked in the idiom of true B-Grade, possessing elements that both move and intrigue. The screenplay is rather smooth, laced with a professional touch, and is well directed with a solid supporting cast. And it’s very sad, 3.5/5 here.
Right now streaming The Vanishing…[Read more] -

Attack of the 50 Foot Woman has been watched again. Just as much fun as last time! 😀
And Bride of Chucky has been watched. Absolutely hilarious. 😛

Yeah, just a basic syrup. The recipe said to stack the layers and then pour. It may work better to do the first layer, stack, then pour again.
Cool! Wasn’t aware she had a site. Good to know! And an updated version of the book is on the way. Awesome 🙂
Made a basic goat curry out of it with carrots, green peppers, and rice. Nothing fancy but it…[Read more]

The Back-UPS RS 900G there might require a replacement battery, however no warnings from the UPS monitor software. Could also be touching on the threshold of insufficient voltage as the PC was tested on another AC outlet. As is often the case out in the boondocks, the waveforms of the current can be a bit blocky, and the PSU itself is as old as…[Read more]

That’s odd, is it just a standard sugar syrup like the one here? Of course it would make sense if it were for just one sponge section, was a particular filling recommended for it? She also welcomes questions. 🙂
Lovely, any recipes in mind? Wikihow covers the basics rather well. 🙂

I do have a pizza stone but have never used it for pizza. I’ve only ever used it for bread 😛

Wasn’t aware that Nightmare Alley had an older version. Will definitely add it to the list. Been meaning to see the newer one, just haven’t gotten to it yet.
Watched Child’s Play 2 and 3 the other day. The second film was a lot of fun with Chucky taking revenge on Andy. 3, though, wasn’t that good. Most of the film focused on Andy’s plight in…[Read more]

I still see DOS used from time to time powering the checkout lanes at a store. Getting to be relatively rare when it wasn’t too long ago that I saw it everywhere (ten years). Saw it recently, too. Think it was last year sometime? Not sure where, didn’t think to make a note of it
