Cool! Lots of weird town names about. 😀 But Shock and Surprise didn’t make the cut 🙁

Wasn’t aware of it but will add it to the play list!

The books are really fun! Highly recommended!

Sorry for the late response. I’ve noticed that if you leave the tab open and then close the browser, when you next launch it if you have it to keep the previous tabs open then some oddities occur if you don’t hit refresh first. Is that the sort of thing going on?

Been making excellent progress! I’ve been focused on unlocking the main towns for gear restocks and have also started unlocking the Great Fairies to upgrade my gear. Been exploring the depths as well but I’m still not geared up enough to do well down there 😛

One of the side quests has you tracking down a herd of runaway goats 😛

The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane was a good one but it definitely wasn’t a horror film, even though Roku classifies it as such.

Probably going to take a break from these films for a bit and watch straight comedy before I search out some bad films to watch. Got Porky’s lined up as well as Fletch and some Troma films 😀

Started reading the Discworld books the other day and they’re a blast! Lots of humor and craziness. They’re right up my alley! 😀

Yeah, it’ll also mean we need to update the CSS every year. Bit of a hassle but we’ll manage!

I may increase some of the padding at the end to give the text a little extra breathing room 🙂

See anything else in the profiles that needs to be added to the first pass?

I’m quite pleased with how it’s coming along!

Still trying to determine what the right selector is. Tried #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li a:hover but that didn’t work so I’m probably going to need to dig into the source code as it’s minified on the browser so kind of hard to read. The CSS we’re looking for should be somewhere in here. Aha!

Sorry! LN2 refers to liquid nitrogen. 🙂

There used to be a trend where people would toss random objects in a bucket of it and then capture the subsequent splintering process in slow motion.

Yep, definitely don’t want to be putting it in your mouth! Now, Dippin Dots on the other hand….

We’re actually having a rather mild Summer so far. It’s rarely gotten over 85F. My electric bill is the lowest it’s ever been at this time of year. It’s been nice!

Yeah, I have to go to a nursery out of town to get good local plants. Most of the ones in town just sell the standard assortment. The one out of town specifically sells local varieties, however, so it’s always best to call them to make sure they have the variety I want as it varies from season to season.

    So there’s a town called Surprise in Arizona…? That was a…surprise 😛

Looks like it’s from 2017 but I haven’t used it since 2020. I was a bit hard on it (stupid clicker games 😛 ) so I’ll probably look at getting a new one in a year or two. 🙂

Thanks, will look at that! I’ve been tempted to wear gloves while using keyboards and mice to keep the grime off (and most things, really) 😛

Sounds good! Lots of Linux choices to choose from! Took me a few years before I settled on a distro for every day use but most would be fine for these testing purposes 🙂

What’s a good way of cleaning up a mouse without damaging it? My skin is really oily so I tend to get a lot of grime on things even with constant hand washing.

Apologies if this is more of a general hardware question instead of a discussion on old devices. I can split it off if desired 🙂

in reply to: Forum Search Issues #516

Yeah, the main search seems to be for the blog while the other for the forums. It would be nice if we could get a unified one

The style pack does have an option for better theme support but it requires some template tweaking. Maybe that would help with getting things to play nicer?

in reply to: Films & TV Shows #514

    Mad’s always good! 😀

Still need to go through my old issues!

I really miss MadTV. I stumbled on it from time to time while in hotels and it was always enjoyable!

    It’s a shame I can’t catch Portlandia here 🙁

This was an interesting one. Bit slow to start off and doesn’t really get going until about halfway through. The first half is mostly just preparations. Not going on the repeat list even if it was a curiosity with the headliners

Looks like we posted at the same time!

I can see the sounds matching Superman’s themes quite nicely!

We have a bunch of cicadas around here. They’re quite relaxing!

    in reply to: Random #511

No idea! They are larger than the ones I usually pick but are still green so it’s hard to say

Definitely not the sort of thing I want to run through the AC pipes 😛

The videos of LN2 used to be pretty fun to watch. Too bad they went out of style!

They were selling firewood advertised as Christmas logs in 90F 😛 Let’s go with stocking up!

Ooh, I like the bloom. The lavender over here looks completely different! It does say part shade so hopefully it’ll be okay 🙂

in reply to: Sounds and Music #510

    And another classic! 😀

in reply to: The Thread That Broods #503

Yep and nope! Got the PCB trace one 😀

Will look into a UPS! Yeah, I think I’ll move the air purifier to the computer room. Speaking of which, I should dust the game supplies….

I’ll shoot them a message at some point asking for their cleaning recommendations. May be different due to their case setup 🙂

Working on making my mom a Spongebob figure 🙂

Good to hear that he’s recovering!

Got the profile background box fixed. Tried to change the pink but it’s being difficult. For some reason or another, the change isn’t even showing in Chrome’s inspect menu as being overridden so it’s going to take a little bit more work.

This is what I’m trying to add:

    #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li.current a,
    #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li.current a:focus,
    #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li.current a:hover,
    #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li.selected a,
    #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li.selected a:focus,
    #buddypress.twentytwentythree .bp-navs li.selected a:hover
    	background-color: #455A64;
    }

Tried it in the theme CSS editor, too, and it’s still not even showing as overridden even though it’s copied from their styles.

    Edit:

Whoops. Fixed. Just noticed that the curly brace accidentally got deleted. Problem solved!

Still need to fix the hover color, though. Just not sure what selector they’re using for the hover.

in reply to: Films & TV Shows #489

Saw Piranha yesterday and that was a blast!

    in reply to: Styles #487

The profile pages should be all fixed up, save for the pink for the active tabs. Just don’t know what color that should be is all 🙂

If all looks good there, we can move on to the next sector to style 🙂

in reply to: The Thread That Broods #486

Yeah, I’ve ordered it with two 1 TB SSDs. It does have a third NVM slot for expansion so that’ll be nice down the road if I ever find that I need/want more space (in addition to the standard SATA ports) 🙂

As far as specs go, I’ve ordered a Mira with the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, 64 GB of RAM, an AMD 7900XT GPU (the XTX was only offered on the Major), and a 1000 W PSU for potential future upgrades. May be a tad overkill on the RAM but I’ve always tended to go a bit heavy on RAM. 🙂

Hopefully their cooling system is up to the task!

Been out of action for so long between tech problems and depression that I may need a little bit of help finding a project to help jump start the process but we’ll get there 🙂

Once I put it through its paces, I’ll get the VR headset on order (going to plan on getting the accessories ordered next week or the following; need a bit of a break right now as the research kind of wore me down). I also want to try PopOS first even though I’m not really a fan of Ubuntu. If I don’t care for it, I’ll look at getting FreeBSD installed.

Sounds good. I’ve got a few things over here that I’ve let sit that I really need to get back to. Been a bit too moist to do some of it, like sweeping out the garage and the piece I’m painting.

Yep, a cough is normal after the dental work and not usually anything to be concerned about. The throat usually gets a bit irritated from the procedure is all and usually clears up after a day or two 🙂
