Could be some driver bugs. I know the ones Microsoft ships are sometimes hit or miss. Have you tried downloading any updated ones from HP or the component manufacturers? You also may want to check the monitor manufacturer’s site. Granted, monitors are usually fine with the generic one shipped with Windows
Cool! Really wish we could get similar experiences here in Florida. Disney and Universal need to take note!
Right now, they’re pretty general. You can catch sharks, mud crabs (but not giant mud crabs), eels and the like. Interestingly, you can catch the same ones everywhere in the Universe but there are ones specific to planet types such as fish that can only be caught on very hot planets. Really hope it gets expansion in the future as it’s a great concept.

Yeah, I always wear earmuffs when using the mixer. It gets loud! Especially when I’m whipping up egg whites or cream. Ten minutes of that is pure torture!
In theory, one could make an in-wall mixer. Would be much quieter and would like quite nice. Wonder why nobody has taken the plunge yet?

On that note: etckeeper is a life saver when doing server updates as it lets you compare changes between software versions and quickly get back up and running when something breaks in the configuration files.
NMS added fishing a few weeks ago. It’s pretty cool but the skiff they added is pretty basic. There’s no good way to get on it other than jetpacking and it’s a bit of a hassle to move while you’re on it. Hopefully they improve it!
Despite a lot of folks calling them dead formats (they’re not and still have good uses), 4k Blu-Ray discs and SACDs are still widely available. The latter is mostly available from specialty stores but there’s quite a selection!
Quite fond of Sin City. Picked up the graphic novel last year and it’s pretty enjoyable. It uses mostly sketch art instead of traditional comic art and is also in black and white, giving it an interesting look. It really worked out rather well
Saw Demon Seed yesterday and the plot made zero sense! It wasn’t even the fun kind of bewildering. It was just… bizarre

Sorry, most of the critical articles from bakers are paywalled. I’ll try to find a better one. The gadget sites rave about its looks but the people who actually use it are wholly against it.
The plot thickens! I just did a bit of a dive and they just removed the link from the site, the pages still exist. The quickly thrown together Wikipedia article from information gleaned from the paywalled article says it was due to permitting and construction worker shortages but, again, I haven’t been able to find any other articles and no official statements. Based on this, I think it’s fair to say that they may be keeping the door open and would still like to get something off the ground. Would really help if I could read the news article in full or even get another source of information, though

I understand the point they’re making but the seed vault is still better than doing nothing at all. If we don’t have it, we’re definitely more likely to have issues than without it. That said, one option is to move it to a more favorable location. How? Easy! We have a little known place quite nearby that doesn’t suffer from anything other than cosmic radiation called the Moon. If we dig down and shield things, that may be a good option. Of course, it would need regular support runs to keep the systems topped off and maintained but, with the planned moon base, that may be doable. Granted, it’s more of a long term idea and a lot of infrastructure would need to be constructed but it may be a solid option.

Saw this B-movie. Wasn’t intended to be a comedy but the acting was so bad that it wound up being hilarious. Those are some of the best ones!
Pretty sure I mentioned The Woods several years but when and where I saw it eludes me so it may have been around 2018 or so. Gave it another watch the other day as I recalled it fondly and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
And finally got around to watching The Changeling. In short, it was a masterpiece. Highly recommended if you like ghost stories
Interesting, but completely useless, tidbit of information: Melbourne, Australia and Fairbanks, Alaska are currently experiencing the exact same weather with roughly the same temperature and precipitation. Why, yes, I did get a little bit bored. 😛

General availability is when the products are available at all stores. These are mostly your big box stores like Walmart and Amazon. For some TCGs, like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, small, licensed stores are usually allowed to sell the product a day or two early.
Still trying to come up with a good way of making the links in the main post more generic. Unfortunately, most pages are region locked. For example, I can provide the rule book links for, say, Japan or the US but not a global link that will automatically redirect to your region. The redirect occurs at the root URL, not the subpages, which sort of complicates things for localization.
Yay! Looks like they finally fixed the battery drain issue that’s been plaguing me since February.
Saw the 1995 version of Village of the Damned the other day and it wasn’t much fun, even for a bad film. Everything was very formulaic and predictable while the acting was stuff as though they were just going through the motions. To be fair, there were a lot of children in the cast who may not have had much acting experience but the crew could have provided better motivation to make the acting more fluid.
Ooh, nice. May need to give it a whirl. Should probably shoot System76 a message to make sure they don’t have any system scripts written in Bash that will break if I try a new shell 🙂
Apparently, Elite: Dangerous takes place in a 1:1 scale version of the galaxy. Haven’t tried it yet, either. Haven’t tried Universe Sandbox yet but it has been on the list for quite some time. Could be fun to play marbles with planets 😛
The latest response makes some sense. Sounds like it’s a side effect of how and when the data is stored and loaded with hibernation. Didn’t know Notepad++ had a dark mode. Went ahead and flipped it on even if it is a bit too dark for my tastes 🙂
