😛 Spoke too soon, something might be going a bit wonky in the circuitry, placed an enquiry at asrock for either confirmation or good news, either of which will cheer up this poor soul, if it comes back all of a froth and bubble with a nerdy computer joke. 😛

Yep, definitely back up the important stuff 🙂
In my case, I tend to fry a computer by accident long before it reaches a natural end. 😛

Mad feedback lifted from Teams:
Interesting ending directed to the farms, it could lead into a parody of Animal Farm with Rock Farm as an alternative title. Maybe there’s a lava thief, or a rival rock faction, or a coming cataclysm which will hurtle the poor rocks out in orbit of a dying sun.
Yarn to make the rocks yawn for.

Decided to go ahead and work on the first dungeon so that I can unlock more of the game. It’s very annoying! It’s a lot of platforming in the sky and if you mistime or misjudge a glide then you have to go back to the beginning and repeat. With more stamina, it wouldn’t be an issue but they want you to do this one before anything else. I really…[Read more]

Oh yes, ran chkdsk last month, and passed with flying colours! 🙂
Still, it’s probably a good idea to backup, like voting, early and often. 😛 -

Have you run the Windows error checking tool? Granted, in my experience, it doesn’t do a whole lot but never hurts to check!

Oh, it’s for DOS then? Definitely won’t be playing it on the laptop, then. Even YouTube videos cause it to rev up! 😛 I’d also need to get an external disc drive. I really miss computers having disc drives built in. Makes it very hard to listen to my music CDs while I work 🙁
Thanks! Will make a note of those links!

It was a fine day in Rockland. The volcanoes were erupting, the meteorites were landing, and the rockslides were plentiful. In short, the atmosphere was perfect for our rock loving denizens. Rocks were being bred at a good rate which new ones crawling out from their nesting grounds daily. The newborns took quite a fancy to the rockslides, enjoying…[Read more]

You know, this PC is itself a relic. Turned it on and got a Disk Read Error, Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot, which didn’t work. Then tried later, and it’s as if nothing happened.
So, for the Seagate drive, downloaded the legacy SeaTools, because, you know, everything here is kind of legacy now. But there you go, the program wouldn’t initialise because it…[Read more] -

So Amazon sent me an update on the guide book pre-order: “We’re sorry for the inconvenience but the item is now releasing a week earlier.” 😛

Yes, from Virgin (Prince of Persia, Earthworm Jim, Resident Evil, Flight Unlimited)!
Played it back then, it was pretty good. Now, there’s the re-issue, just extract the files into a directory like C:Guest and run. If that doesn’t work, try it from Old Games, for extra options try it with an MS-DOS conf file and run it through PrgLnch. -

Cool! Somewhere, I saw bars of soap in the shapes of dice. 😀
Yuck! They really need to improve these things 🙁
I need to get the lava lamps back up and running. Haven’t used them in years and really need to change that 😛

Always sad when they just do away with the content instead of archiving it or migrating it 🙁
A few years back, I found a copy of The 7th Guest in a box of discs that came from my dad’s place. It wasn’t something I ever got and he never got into games so I honestly have no idea where they came from. They don’t even appear to have been taken out…[Read more]

Sharktopus; and the never to be released spinoff: Jabberjaw Grows a Tentacle. (wouldn’t be technically correct since octopuses only have arms. But hey, it’s SliFi right?)
Cheap set looks spiffing enough, looks like you are starting a collection, how about a dice bath bomb?

So one part of the game has you building a catapult to launch yourself across a large gap. It was a blast! I wonder what the limit is on catapult size. Only one way to find out! 😀

Not quite a relic yet, the UPS purchased for the downstairs PC is getting on in years, and doing rather well. As for the place it came from, not so. Turns out they went belly up the very year the unit was purchased, and all of 5 years to find out. 😛

Nope, not region locked! Will check it out!
It’s really good, much better than the the previous game. They even filled some plot holes that they created, such as why the Rito and Zora exist together when the former evolved from the latter.
I was working on getting some chests I missed yesterday in the starter area but wound up falling after…[Read more]
