Sorry, all of these outages have really thrown me off!

I did try zooming in but I still had a bit of a hard time figuring out some bits. Will take another look! πŸ™‚

Yikes! Hopefully it’s an easy fix! Always liked the design of their appliances. Really like the retro look πŸ™‚

    Cool!

Yeah, ADHD can be tough on you!

Got all the surge protectors…[Read more]

  • Cool! Good thing the Spongebob universe avoided them. Who knows how that would have worked out otherwise πŸ˜›

I think part of it is that it needs to start all the drivers and things. All my systems have started off at 100% fan speed until everything is fully loaded, for example. I know there’s a bug in Windows that’s existed forever where it…[Read more]

  • We’re all going to be wafted up to the cloud(s), where the future promises a safe haven for our souls, and our thoughts. leaving all earthly concerns behind. πŸ™‚
Meanwhile, after a kind lady asked me to re-install OneDrive, had absolutely tons of hours of fun with it, completely free of charge. That is, all charge of energy has been drained from…[Read more]

  • Nice, do declare the scourer/sponges here are well used, and at the same time not too hard on the nose. πŸ™‚

Watch those sponges! There was someone on the radio today with something to say about carnivorous sponges. Here’s a refresher:

In the actual Windows boot, do they up the performance of the power…[Read more]

  • Haven’t been able to watch much on demand lately due to the Internet issues over here so I’ve been catching the horror marathons OTA like they do every year. Caught a lot of the classic Dracula films, The Day the Earth Stood Still, among others πŸ˜€

Poltergeist has been on the list!

Speaking of mirror scenes in horror films, I need to rewatch…[Read more]

  • You could also use something like a sheetpan. Any large piece of metal will work! But, yes, it’ll look weird unless it’s in the kitchen πŸ˜›

Microwaves are good for a lot of things! πŸ˜€

Weird. Usually, that information is stored in RAM as opposed to ROM

Did zoom help at all in the news clips, over here something like a 250% boost was required.

On the radio there was a very interesting show about ADHD, must confess some of my earlier days might have deviated somewhat from the neurotypical, taking byte sized chunks from OCD, DD and ADHD, well past all that now. The upshot from todays show was that…[Read more]

  • Shame came across as a little too disjointed, off-piste even, there was something missing in the character profile of the protagonist for it to work. But then again, as he is described by the other players as a bit of a weirdo, there’s the B-grade license immediately handed on a platter to the director. A fine film, if given a few extra edit…[Read more]

  • Oh, have some with power buttons in the PC graveyard underneath, have old Logitech, Laser, and Sky keyboards all from the noughties I think. Do remember posting a piccy of the nice looking Sky at AL, these days images on Google are buried, did happen to surf into a nice bit of banter re keyboards wayback. πŸ˜›
The foil Will definitely help, but will…[Read more]

  • TheΒ  buzzing from the sound chip is more related to a DPC latency thing, happens when playing something in a browser tab, and then switching out to another tab or application.
Because it happens only rarely, updating the driver may or may not necessarily be the fix. otherwise it’s turning off the AMD devices and disabling hardware…[Read more]

  • For the buzzing, I included some tips in the other thread that may help πŸ™‚

No idea on the network share but have you tried removing the networked device and then readding it? Maybe it’ll clear some cobwebs out. I have to do that with my printer every now and then for Windows to properly pick it up

  • I haven’t seen a power button on a keyboard in years. Do they still put them on the keyboards? Last one I had with the button on it was an old Mac from the early 90’s/late 80’s.

For the EMF interference, you can try putting some aluminum foil on the side of the case facing the radio. That’ll create an RF shield and may help some. If not, you can…[Read more]

  • I think it serves as a counter for the blacklist but I’m not sure.

Yep, selective site clearing would be quite handy. πŸ™‚

  • Right now, using a “low-impact” customer power plan, as for the keystrokes, unfortunately the Prodigy has no power button! The PC chassis is endowed with one hence an unswerving reliance on that. πŸ˜›
The power plan includes a hybrid sleep which keeps the fans spinning, followed by full hibernation after 60 minutes. Thing is, if it’s not hibernated…[Read more]

Will need to see if I can get it! British series are rather hard to tune in to here. πŸ™

Saw Dolls yesterday and that was a lot of fun. Wasn’t the same level as Puppet Master but still worth it πŸ™‚

  • Thread covering the gamut from go to blown in your favourite Microsoft operating system, being a fan forced palaver rolling in the general direction of a well tempered rig, or not so breezily into a well borked one!
In relocating to W11 rig, a few hurdles popped up for no other purpose than to make for a riveting thread.
No soundcard on the rig…[Read more]

    From Beyond
He’s quite attractive, and it’s on the list!
Yeah, sometimes there can be too much gross yuck, anything from Hammer (esp. Cushing, Lee, Reed) is worth a gander though. Why not try some from the Thriller series like The Colour of Blood or The Eyes Have It?
Don’t know how that was missed – Gillian Barber is great in these – on the list! πŸ™‚

Ah, so toggling the Third-party cookies button actually adds the regex’d site root url to the allow list in Cookies, still don’t get the “No sites blocked” – don’t they just mean “This site not blocked” or is there still misunderstanding?
Thanks, at least we know Firefox is superior in this regard. πŸ™‚

Yeah, we just hit our dry season. Granted, we didn’t get much of a wet season this year. I remember several years ago, we had rain every day for two months. Definitely didn’t get that this year.

Yep. We don’t get too many of these kinds of things here but they do in other parts of the country. I wonder, could a fight have broken out on the boat?…[Read more]
