    Yep! Got it bookmarked! 🙂

    Lots of goodies on Amazon, too!

    Ugh. Hopefully they get them fixed soon! I know people in my area also have trouble with their cable boxes. I wonder if they outsource to the same software developer?

    Been watching the Vice Academy series. It’s absolutely horrendous. Of course, that means I find it very enjoyable! 😀

    Really need to switch to holiday mode…. 😛

    Oh, cool. Shout Factory has a good assortment of B-movies and other cult films in 4k: https://shoutfactory.com/collections/4k-uhd

    The English language is quickly becoming incomprehensible with how quickly slang and definitions are evolving. For instance, someone was talking about their girlfriend’s partner the other day and added no context. Without context, this could mean business partner just as much as it could mean romantic partner. This is why I prefer the term significant other in terms of relationships. It makes things very clear. With how definitions are running together, it’s very hard to parse even when context clues are in place. I’m even having some issues understanding bits and pieces of newer books because of the lack of clarity. Then we have some humorous instances of a similar nature. Someone mentioned that they don’t like wearing pants. They meant long pants but a lot of people are just shortening it to pants now. It makes for some very weird interactions 😛

    There is that. I just wish they would add a qualification that they’re just taking statements so that they can keep a closer eye on things or something to that effect. As it is, it sounds like they’re just entertaining the notion that the speculation itself has merit even though there’s no evidence. If there were actual evidence in government labs, it would probably be hard to keep it quiet. More than likely, there’d be pictures all over the place with the way the Internet is these days 😛

    The full film has been pulled off YouTube for some reason and a basic search didn’t turn up anything. However! I found a clip! The clip is probably the important segment. Granted, the quality is too poor to make anything out myself. That and I know little about biomechanics. May send it to my mom, she used to do that sort of thing for a living 🙂

    Finally started exploring tech upgrades in NMS in the expedition. Going to need to explore them in my main game but they’re pretty handy! Just hard to find good ones since you need to check the merchant at each space station.

    Granted, most of the stuff I watch has terrible scores on both IMDB and RT…. 😛

    Bad movies are fun!

    Haven’t gotten much chance to watch anything really noticeable lately as they were roofing next door. May switch over to holiday mode soon, though. In which case, I absolutely have to watch classics like The Star Wars Holiday Special and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians with a little bit of Christmas Vacation mixed in. Some of those are better films than others…. 😛

    Going well so far. Still waiting on the third book to become available but I’m really enjoying it 🙂

    I used Thunderbird! The interface for the news reader was pretty basic as I recall but that’s okay! Looks like there are some BBSs still around. As for the state of the content, couldn’t say. Just did a brief search and saw a few online but didn’t look to see what kind of stuff they host. 😛

    Been browsing Textfiles.com again, which is always interesting.

    😀 I can certainly ask! Tow hitch gets installed today so we can use it to haul the kayaks. 🙂

    A few decades ago, the Forrester was the station wagon. The current model looks nothing like it!

    Looks like City Car Driving is getting an updated version in May so I may start with Beam.NG drive when it goes on sale and go from there. Or Euro Truck Simulator. Need to look into the latter more but it I think I read that it has good hardware support. It also has a ton of DLC but I may not need much of it, will need to take a closer look. Would also be nice to have something to mess around with outside of learning so I’ll take that into consideration. Will pick up the research again this weekend. 🙂

    Always sad to see a service fold. 🙁

    Weird that the Wikipedia page is so inaccurate. The issues have already been mentioned on the talk page so hopefully it’ll get changed

    Sigh. These publicity stunts are only damaging the legitimate search. This is Roswell all over again. The difference is, in this case we don’t even have photos. Just some people making extraordinary claims. It’s all based on hearsay. I could say I’m from the Andromeda galaxy all I want but it doesn’t make it so. And, besides, I have nothing to back it up with. The end result is that it weakens the credibility of actual evidence. Unless there’s something to back it up, the US government really shouldn’t be hosting this stuff. It reminds me of the time when the FBI wasted time and money investigating Bigfoot: https://vault.fbi.gov/bigfoot/bigfoot-part-01-of-01/view

    So I recently came across a couple of places that do restorations of vintage turntables:

    No complaints here but I still may reach out to them at some point to see what they offer. No harm in that, at least!

    Console input is pretty straightforward, you just need to include the input/output library. Here’s an example:

    #include <iostream>
    int main() {
    	int x;
    	std::cout << "Enter a number: ";
    	std::cin >> x;
    	std::cout << std::endl << "You entered: " << x;
    	return 0;
    }

    Command-line arguments would also be handy but the language only has rudimentary support for them by default. There are third-party libraries that help to fill in the gaps with them, though.

    For storing the set of proper case keywords, a set may be the best container to use. In the rename loop, check the word to see if it’s in the set using the contains member function. So I think I just inadvertently wrote the entire program here. Only thing missing is the actual code 😛

    Using the built-in types like this would also make it completely cross-platform 🙂

    Sounds good 🙂

    After several years, my mom finally decided on a Subaru Outback. She refuses to own a station wagon for whatever reason so, even though it’s classed as one, just don’t call it a station wagon or she gets mad. 😛

    That aside, she’s quickly falling in love with it 🙂

    And No Man’s Sky got cross-save support last week, which is nice. 🙂

    New cookbook! Going to need to break out the recipes! 🙂

    So the new deck I built that relies on more passive gameplay is okay. A bit early to tell how it’ll hold up in serious play as I just finished it on Friday but it did hold up well in yesterday’s tournament before everyone figured out what I was doing and got ganged up on. So I came in fourth place out of five players 😛

    It did well before, though. Didn’t outright win the games but came pretty close and was able to keep the pressure on so I’ll keep playing it a bit before I tweak it. Will get the decklist posted soon! 🙂

    What I do is long press and then drag the two cursors around the text I want to copy. Doing select all usually selects everything, including stuff outside the articles. Do you get the cursors to drag around?

    in reply to: Samsung Tablets #3150

    Not sure how many do but it’s possible using digital circuitry elements. Would be careful, though. I do know my old phone heats up a lot when using the charger it came with and it does support fast charging. Granted, it’s ancient at this point so that may have something to do with it. 🙂

    Weird. Have no issues over here. Which browser are you using? I’m using Chrome and can select things as normal.

    Yeah, mine was fixed with an update after eight months of the bug. Was pretty annoying 🙁

    Was digging through the horror section on PlutoTV the other day and this one near the bottom caught my eye. No idea how they sort the categories but it was pretty good! Interestingly, the RT score is 90% but the IMDB score is close to 50-60%. Granted, they use different metrics but still interesting 🙂

    I kind of miss the simplicity of Usenet and the BBS boards. Had access to some of them twenty years ago when Bellsouth was hosting them. Hard to beat a simple mailing list like browsing but with better organization.

    in reply to: Random #3143

    Other than a few books on the wait list, I’ve pretty much run out of science fiction from the library. At least, space opera. So I’m moving to horror books now. Wish me luck!

    And another one came in: City Car Driving. It has VR support, which the other two do not, but its wheel support isn’t as extensive according to the reviews but it definitely warrants some additional research to see which one of the three programs is best suited to me 🙂
