I had to pack up the Wii and PS2 yesterday to make room for other stuff. Sad but I hadn’t used them in a few years. For now, they’ll just live in a closet until I get a plastic bin for them 🙂
To be fair, most of the games I have for them have been getting remastered so it’s not that big of a loss. Just makes me sad.

Some very good ideas from here:
https://www.buzzfeed.com/thegeshow/top-10-coolest-uses-of-solar-panels
The first link is gone, there’s this one in Chile or another in China for example. The one in the Sahara has its critics. 😛
Good idea with the bins though, get them enough power to trot away at COB to unload at the local disposal centre. Might…[Read more] -

Fortunately, we have the Urban Dictionary to help fill in the blanks! Honestly, I don’t know what I’d do without it. I use a lot more than I used to 😛
And folks also call long sleeve shirts just, “sleeves,” which is weird. Are they being worn as a scarf, then? 😛
Mentioned this before but we should cover all of the roads, sidewalks, and bus…[Read more]

Got a new surge protector ordered to replace one that’s ten years old. It still works as a power strip but, after the years, its MOVs are probably suspicious so I may disassemble it to see how its wired. Haven’t decided yet if I want to keep it as a strip or simply dissect it, though. Leaning towards the latter as I really want to know how it…[Read more]

Yep! Got it bookmarked for future perusal! I know I’m getting a few films for my birthday so I’ll see what I get first. I’m in the process of upgrading things so I’m doing my research now to save me time later. 🙂
Lots of goodies on Amazon, too!
Ugh. Hopefully they get them fixed soon! I know people in my area also have trouble with their cable…[Read more]

A fine collection indeed! Still back in primordial 758p here. 😛
Explored the Fetch range a little, they have a good range of content in the guide. Currently watching The Fall on a TV app though, as waiting for them to fix the bugs in other TV apps which make them almost impossible to use. Well into series 3 now, it’s beginning to induce a little…[Read more] -

Yep, no reason not to consider “partner” as just a short form of partner in crime, it has the same varied meanings. 😛
One who is short of the means of pants procurement ends up panting for shorts! We’re getting lazy too, here, the home shoes are always referred to as shoes, despite really being espadrilles. 😛 -

The English language is quickly becoming incomprehensible with how quickly slang and definitions are evolving. For instance, someone was talking about their girlfriend’s partner the other day and added no context. Without context, this could mean business partner just as much as it could mean romantic partner. This is why I prefer the term…[Read more]

There is that. I just wish they would add a qualification that they’re just taking statements so that they can keep a closer eye on things or something to that effect. As it is, it sounds like they’re just entertaining the notion that the speculation itself has merit even though there’s no evidence. If there were actual evidence in government…[Read more]

Finally started exploring tech upgrades in NMS in the expedition. Going to need to explore them in my main game but they’re pretty handy! Just hard to find good ones since you need to check the merchant at each space station.

Tried a hand at the MSN games Spades, the first thing was the old login is deprecated, now it’s either anonymous or only the MS account to login through FirebasApp.
Fun, except the game screen won’t maximise in the browser and there’s a bug in the sound volume slider. The chat icons take a bit of getting used to as well. -

Granted, most of the stuff I watch has terrible scores on both IMDB and RT…. 😛
Bad movies are fun!
Haven’t gotten much chance to watch anything really noticeable lately as they were roofing next door. May switch over to holiday mode soon, though. In which case, I absolutely have to watch classics like The Star Wars Holiday Special and Santa…[Read more]

Well, at least the government is showing signs of interest, else, if these don’t get an airing at all, the catchpenny gen pub will start freaking out about cover-ups! 😛
Rats, they lost the original film, would further analysis have revealed more? And -er- what are we to conclude if the deer hairs didn’t come from the suit? 😛 -

Going well so far. Still waiting on the third book to become available but I’m really enjoying it 🙂
I used Thunderbird! The interface for the news reader was pretty basic as I recall but that’s okay! Looks like there are some BBSs still around. As for the state of the content, couldn’t say. Just did a brief search and saw a few online but didn’t…[Read more]

How did Wayward Pines go?
Don’t recall the original BBS client used in the early nineties – might have been MajorBBS. Navigation, economy, and ease of use got so much with Blue Wave in the way it processed the quk and rep files. Hyperterminal also had its uses. 🙂
Over here, they are also referred to as SLOs, (Subaru Legacy Outback), perhaps for…[Read more] -

Looks like City Car Driving is getting an updated version in May so I may start with Beam.NG drive when it goes on sale and go from there. Or Euro Truck Simulator. Need to look into the latter more but it I think I read that it has good hardware support. Would also be nice to have something to mess around with outside of learning so I’ll take that…[Read more]

So I recently came across a couple of places that do restorations of vintage turntables:
No complaints here but I still may reach out to them at some point to see what they offer. No harm in that, at least!
