Pretty much the same reaction from some critics at the initial release, it was memorable enough inasmuch such a thing was never before attempted cinematically. In recollection the character dynamics worked well enough, the temptation for a repeat viewing was never there though.
Now streaming The Old Man, plenty in there of good entertainment…[Read more]

Ah, Mr. Monopoly served with marching orders – go to jail, go directly to jail, do not collect $200. Good job.
Good also for Facebook airing the ills experienced by carriers of livestock with Crap Loading Ramps, with a growing collection of magnificent and unforgettable images we can be all proud of. 🙂

Did you find one? Tussocks are reliable for such a job, they also lack what we might call “aesthetic” qualities desirable for our verges. The Californian hair grass might be an exception. 🙂
Haven’t been able to secure another Red Rubin over here since posting this update back when, seen any your way?

  • In response to this observation, there has been more action on trimming the Wikipedia content down as per e.g the 2007 Wikipedia: “In Popular Culture” Content article. Do like the xkcd ref. 🙂
Take, for example, this revision of the page for What Are Little Boys Made Of before the section got chopped. This is the current page.

Today, you can get them out of the jar.
Spray on is brilliant, forget about putting it to use in places like Lahore or Delhi until at least the folks over there get back on their bikes/carts/rickshaws, and stop burning coal. In doing that throws up a whole new bunch of issues though. 😛

Haven’t seen SACDs or the players over here much at all, mostly because of the impetus to go looking. Don’t recall them occupying the prime spots in any of the shop display windows either, funnily enough. They wanted an ad campaign of Coca Cola magnitude to really set the market on fire, and as things have turned out, likely to have set a lot off…[Read more]

Some very good ideas from here:
    https://www.buzzfeed.com/thegeshow/top-10-coolest-uses-of-solar-panels
The first link is gone, there’s this one in Chile or another in China for example. The one in the Sahara has its critics. 😛
Good idea with the bins though, get them enough power to trot away at COB to unload at the local disposal centre. Might…[Read more]

Explored the Fetch range a little, they have a good range of content in the guide. Currently watching The Fall on a TV app though, as waiting for them to fix the bugs in other TV apps which make them almost impossible to use. Well into series 3 now, it’s beginning to induce a little…[Read more]

Yep, no reason not to consider “partner” as just a short form of partner in crime, it has the same varied meanings. 😛
One who is short of the means of pants procurement ends up panting for shorts! We’re getting lazy too, here, the home shoes are always referred to as shoes, despite really being espadrilles. 😛

  • Tried a hand at the MSN games Spades, the first thing was the old login is deprecated, now it’s either anonymous or only the MS account to login through FirebasApp.
Fun, except the game screen won’t maximise in the browser and there’s a bug in the sound volume slider. The chat icons take a bit of getting used to as well.

Well, at least the government is showing signs of interest, else, if these don’t get an airing at all, the catchpenny gen pub will start freaking out about cover-ups! 😛
Rats, they lost the original film, would further analysis have revealed more? And -er- what are we to conclude if the deer hairs didn’t come from the suit? 😛

    How did Wayward Pines go?
Don’t recall the original BBS client used in the early nineties – might have been MajorBBS. Navigation, economy, and ease of use got so much with Blue Wave in the way it processed the quk and rep files. Hyperterminal also had its uses. 🙂
Over here, they are also referred to as SLOs, (Subaru Legacy Outback), perhaps for…[Read more]

A C++ job to emulate a cmd console when prompting for input might be fun as well with the additional “Proper” case task for an extra sugar hit? It’s possible an old Dossite can be convinced after all! 🙂
It’ll want testing, thus the next step is to cautiously broach the bounds of temerity of any willing tester over at AFKMods. 🙂

  • The IMDB seems to be more “popularity” based, how would your average Joe react as opposed to yer regular discerning critic. The RT score for Extreme Measures is slightly below the IMDB score, as some parts of the film atake on a rather shaky direction. Hugh Grant vs. Gene Hackmann went the way of chalk vs. cheese and the interplay of the goons in…[Read more]

    Okay, so found this:

Selecting text on Android and iOS
When it comes to text selection, you’ll notice some variation on smartphones, because different operating systems may not allow app developers to enable text selection features in the same way. But these techniques should work smoothly in the most common apps, like web browsers, document e…

From the way it was woeded one can imagine the new chargers magically detect whether the device is “compat8ble” and charge accoringly. No? Oh well, just another one for the d8sappointments rack.

The old tablet had the power button just around to the right of the micro USB outlet, which made diconnecting with the left hand and powering off with the right quick and eqsy, the A8 has the power on switch on the left and at the other end, really good for two left hands.
