Just about finished with the main MLP series. May watch the spin-offs next or I may explore what else is available, will decide soon! The spin-offs, Equestria Girls, were based on fan art of the ponies as humans. The art was so popular that they decided to integrate the concept into a series of specials.
Been in the mood for old, old films lately. Maybe Charlie Chaplin is due for a watch? Been a while since I’ve seen his stuff and it never gets old 🙂
The comic book My Little Pony is available for loan at Wayback too, looks like a story in there for 99 pages.
Ther’s enough interest in Dog to keep you going until the end, no eye-popping antics from the dog to break any of the very few moments of monotony though. But then you know it’s all real despite an oft used tendency to employ CGI in such cases.
From Doctor Who to a fraud in Frauds is the lot for Jodie Whittaker in a heist action series with a Spanish tinge. Ony around a 50% rating for most critics, the draw card was the lead up into the big day, the success of which was hampered by some unpredictable (along with a few predictable) spanners in the works. 🙂
Will need to check the shop for some compilations! We’re also getting alternate art cards for Magic based on FiM, too!
I realize Jodie Whittaker’s stent on Who was polarizing but I quite liked her version of the Doctor. Found it rather refreshing.
Decided to continue watching cartoons! Currently watching Courage the Cowardly Dog. Got plenty of others on the list, too! That was a really good era for cartoons.
How about a bit of Yankee Diddly Derring Doo with Roger Ramjet?
Well into the 4th series of Elementary now providing plenty of interest and gimmicks from Sherlocks amazing bag of PI tricks with each episode. One episode plays this clip and others mention math problems such as p vs np. Also a mention of “86”, rhyming with “nix”. used recently in connection with James Comey.
Very interestingly, an episode themed on old games referenced The Nottingham knights, supposedly one of the worst games ever made.
Six Degrees of Separation is very engaging despite tapering of a little towards the end somewhat.
Hadn’t seen O Brother, Where Art Thou yet so tonight was the night, fun, whacky, violent and totally non-believable. Quotes like this from the neuro atypical bank robber:
George Nelson: Okay, folks, hold the applause and drop your drawers! I’m George Nelson, and I’m here to sack the city Itta Bena!
Delmar: He’s a live wire, though, ain’t he?
George Nelson: [approaches the tellers] All the money in a bag! What are you looking at, Grandpa?
Everett: Pardon me, George. You got a plan for getting out of here?
George Nelson: Sure, boys. [tosses the money bag to Everett] Here’s my plan. [opens his jacket to reveal sticks of dynamite, then laughs] They ain’t never seen ordinance like this! [to the crowd] Thank you, folks! And remember, Jesus saves, but George Nelson withdraws! [laughs] Go fix the auto voiture, Pete.
If there’s mothing else, put it on!
Elementary has been on the list for a while, just haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m not sure where I can catch it, will definitely need to find out.
O Brother, Where Art Thou has come up from time to time over here, just haven’t gotten in the mood for it. It always looked a bit silly for me 😛
Been watching TCM a lot more recently and I’ve really missed all of the old films! They were even running a monster movie marathon a few weeks back, which was a blast. Don’t know the occasion but I’m not going to complain!
Important question: how old is Spongebob anyways? Everyone acts like he’s a kid and he clearly acts like one but is also old enough to be able to drive and is heavily implied that he and Patrick are roughly the same age. Patrick went to community college and doesn’t seem to work, which raises questions about how he can afford anyways but that’s a different question. Too many things don’t make sense in Spongebob land!
Remember this gem?
Hasn’t been updated in thirteen years, though, but the forums are still pretty active. It’s actually where I’ve gotten ideas for what to watch over the last fifteen years or so
Never got into SpongeBob – from the promos it never looked as if it had added anything to than say the artistic finery of The Simpsons – or Beavis & Butthead et all. It seemed to flounder after a while, too. Did you get any laughs from it?
🙂 There’s a project for a rainy day, a rogue’s gallery of snapshots from your favourite D-grade movies. Here’s one:

A friend is watching the independently made Red Horizon movie/series released last year.
The 30-minute episodes have enough tension to hold interest in the series apparently. Made by one guy with AI tools.
It’s really hit or miss after the first few seasons. I’d much rather be watching Futurama but I no longer have access to it. It does have its moments, though. I’m mostly watching it to give me something mindless to watch when I’m not in the mood to read a book. I’ve been thinking about going back to watching old movies and anime, though.
Yep! The Giant Claw is a wonderful film! Also try Night of the Lepus. Highly recommended!
Here’s the channel: https://www.youtube.com/@RedHorizonUSA
Looks like it could be a fun viewing reading through some of the comments (laughs regarding AI blunders). Going to need to take a closer look 🙂
