Well, morality kicks in when you know how hungry the coyotes are. If they are moderately hungry, they would all be happy to share one deer, so in a chase, the slowest deer will lose, as it happens in un-biased settings. If they are ravenous, probably the same thing, as they may not be in good enough health to digest the meat properly, and if they…[Read more]

It’s amazing, the first thing that comes up on Google search for AI is the cleaner. 😛
Hmmm, thought the driver updates were turned off, everything is switched off, still got the Logitech 11.55.3120 successfully installed, as all the other updates in the other categories are. Seems the GP settings for driver updates were nixed in the W11 24H2…[Read more]

Hogwarts Legacy is getting a huge update on January 30th that also includes modding tools. Why they mostly do annual updates is beyond me but at least we’re getting continual support!

The only one I’ve really avoided is On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Not sure why I keep skipping it but I should really watch it at some point. For Your Eyes Only was pretty fun. It has the best anti-theft system you’ll find:
And let’s not forget the legendary Andre!
Ooh, good cast. Not available in…[Read more]

The last time I used AI Suite, it was pretty slow. Granted, this was about a decade ago or so. Fortunately, Microsoft is working on a package manager for Windows so that should help streamline everything. The unified interface for managing everything else, though, is definitely a good idea. In that regard, Windows really lags behind Linux.
On the…[Read more]

Yep, not so much of a risk on the managed desktops, as vhey are betted, tested and ratified as per schema. Not so with the Ryzen, did however make the move of un-installing the Armoury Crate as some of the associated background processes seem to chew up a few mhz. Uninstallation using the Armoury_Crate_Uninstall_Tool mentioned here went without…[Read more]

About to finish Service Model. It’s a hilarious take on the robot apocalypse with tons of pop culture references. Highly recommended! My biggest issue is that I can read a book in a day or two so it’s hard for me to keep up with finding new stuff. Kobo’s algorithm has started breaking down and giving me the same stuff, most of which isn’t…[Read more]

Oh nice, wonder if for those, anyone is good enough for a screenplay near enough as good as it was for (at least the first season of) WayWard Pines.
Funny thing about cold shock in some plants, for many it can be a delayed effect, they remain seemingly okay until early spring, and then fade. 25° is certainly about the limit for…[Read more] -

Looks like Lorcana has some potentially huge changes coming in a couple of weeks: https://lorcanaplayer.com/dual-ink-cards-changed-set-champs-prizing/
Will be talking to our organizers today. Can say that the new dual ink cars will cause a huge stir. How much of one depends on the effects of the new cards but it’ll be huge down the road. And I…[Read more]

Yeah, will try that soon. Just tried capping the frame rate in Adrenaline and it didn’t exactly go well. It caused a lot of lag, visual anomalies, and the game still crashed so I reset the setting back to the defaults. I may have to try switching the monitor’s refresh rate at some point. Assuming I don’t just give up and grab Fallout 4 first…[Read more]

Read Dark Matter a couple of months ago. 🙂 It was pretty fun and I liked the bit in the chatroom that was essentially a callback to Bender’s Big Score when an infinite number of them start popping up before he kills the chatroom.
Also read Recursion a while back. Not his best book, honestly. Great characters and interaction but the premise…[Read more]

Ah yes, a fairly positive reader reaction at Goodreads. Having completed Wayward Pines, Dark Matter is next?
The hourly could mean 80% chance of the 20% weekly happening in the next hour, or could the weekly mean there’s a 20% chance of 80% happening each and every hour, as opposed to a random hour. 😛
Bunker up though, any plants in pots are best…[Read more] -

How odd, the dates for expiry on the certs (excluding the mail) were set for the 13th of February. Looks like they have been manually regenerated then, still no confirmation from the providers. The full WHM access allows for some AutoSSL tweakage, not sure if it would have helped us here though. -

Here’s an interesting idea: in theory, a darker sheet should decrease the risk of freeze damage more than a lighter colored one as it’ll absorb more photonic energy. Definitely worth testing at some point.
The test would be pretty simple: get a collection of very sensitive plants and split them into three groups: a control and one each for the…[Read more]

May have been a renewal hiccup. Now all of the subdomains are showing up as they should in the certificate information with the next renewal set for April. I know in the Linode, it would sometimes take a day or so for the renewal to complete. Never did figure out why. It occurred even when I would run the command manually

Happened again at the day of this posting, AutoSSL times out, the internal cPanel error with the certificates was:
The installed certificate does not cover this domain
All of a sudden, three hours later, the certificates are fine. No word from the providers as yet, so just in case they missed it, requested a reason for the outage. The certificates…[Read more]

All right, went and suggested it. They do that over here, a continual succession of James Bond, Lara Croft, Harry Potter, Night at the Museum, Indiana Jones etc. etc. reboots. It can be said Most JB movies are worth a second look. 🙂

Didn’t even notice that omission. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. It’s too bad hovercraft never took off, they were quite useful. The issue with wind was probably too big of a problem for them to have good staying power, though. Lakes and such get a lot of wind!
Just went on a Wiki journey and found out the DC did a Superboy TV show that I…[Read more]

Nice list from the other thread, hovercraft were all the rage in the 60s and 70s, not so much in the later Bond movies. The Griffon 2000TD operated by Brosnan in Die Another Day wasn’t listed, wonder why.
About an hour into The Voyeurs, changing the channel was very tempting, being the the absolute martyr persisted, and, well was somewhat rewarded…[Read more] -
