That instrumental is quite relaxing!
Sadly, Universal lost a large quantity of their archives in a fire 🙁
And an old favorite!
Nice, there’s a nice scene in Apocalypse Now with that playing.
Heard of Sam Sklair? Plays the flute, clarinet, and a host of other instruments. Here’s a nice one:
He also created some synth-y stuff in the eighties like Touch Tone Keyboard in The MicroChip Revolution. That’s the playlist, where the track names are instantly recognizable.
Also contributed to a combo album made with Claude Larson, where can be heard things like Computer Toys.
Lovely! Would make some great music to pair with a super cut of lights blinking on technology! Cut from a fax machine to a modem to a mainframe…. 😀
Sorry! I thought I had hit the submit button!
Don’t remember too much of Apocalypse Now. My attention kept wandering while it was on…. 😛
I should probably fix that. I remember bits and pieces, though!
Older films had better music than recent ones, in my opinion. Licensing has gotten to be such an issue that many just use as little as possible now. 🙁
Gotta include Henri Salvador here – one of a kind really when it comes to songs like Pauvre Jesus Christ.
There are some cracking songs in that selection as well. This one from ~1958:
And much earlier the classic Le Petit Indien, later, the old À la Claire de Fontaine:
Looks like they’re region locked. Can’t view them over here 🙁
How ’bout some Jimi Hendrix?
Sorry, the first url somehow got barfed – fixed it. The other three urls are thanks to Believe SAS, Polydor and Universal. How odd it is for all these folks to have to get all copyrighteous over their regions though.
Gotta get the mic out to record some fine snoring – in the meantime, there is a cat over at Freesounds. 🙂

First one works now!
Sounds like my dog when she snores 😛
This one isn’t Charlie Brown related, but it’s nice. 🙂
Yep, Peanuts has some great tunes!
We’re missing Pink Floyd:
We don’t need no ejaculation, no more retching in the classroom – yeah. And btw … School’s Out!
And something for Halloween!
😀
Second one isn’t available here 🙁
Here’s an old favorite:
And what’s the season without the Monster Mash?
Oh, bugger, will repost. As being an issue, raised a request at WP if for no other reason than to put it out there!
A graveyard smash indeed- now it’s time for a holiday!
Lovely! Been wondering where that music was from!
Here’s an old classic:
Lobsters of the world: Vibrate and gyrate in this strange garden of stars:
Sky have a nice little collection of space sounds from NASA:
Lovely!
And, in a similar vein, NASA released audio clips of Mars: https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/participate/sounds/?playlist=mars&item=mars-helicopter-flying&type=mars 😀
😛 Considering the density of the atmosphere, it’s amazing one can hear anything at all! They also have the sound of a meteoroid striking the planet’s surface and breaking up, … to this ear not quite as expected – wonder how big it was?
BLOOP 😀
No idea! It’s amazing what the atmospheric conditions do to the sound!
And Ganymede!
Space sounds are awesome!
🙂 Yep, the EM waves make for a dial-up moondem on eternal handshake!
The Broodx are getting through to the DAS in the fibre-optic cables! Let’s check with them:
😀
And a little something for the holidays:
It’s that time again!
My annual Futurama rewatch 😀
