Oh, Falk is terrific in Colombo, too. Pencil in the Spielberg directed première classic “Murder By the Book” along with “Suitable for Framing” and “Candidate for Crime” for superb entertainment. 🙂
Problem was, the original b/w Village/Children of the Damned movies set the damned bar too high. 😛
Contrary to the criticisms of The Last Castle and a personal innate aversion to war flicks, it was entertaining enough not to invite any attention or even awareness to its flaws. Redford, despite many directorial flops directed himself rather well here and held the dynamism between the characters to keep the interest and tension alive. Point five of a recommendation. 😛
